I took delivery of my Guards Red T today. I was angling for a GT3 Touring after selling a ‘22 Shelby GT500...
3. After about 30 minutes I realized how much I missed the sound of a flat six 911…it sounds good even without activating the enhanced muffler sound button.
I like the scream of a flat-6, but to me, nothing beats an American V8, especially an old school engine.
Regarding weight, The 18 way seats likely weigh quite a bit more then standard 4-ways. I'd love to get more data points.
Good morning! Does this photo (grabbed from elsehwere in this thread) actually represent the "T" interior (extended leather choice with slate grey stitching)? I see the T fabric with slate grey pattern vs. the all black fabric, but this stitching lookss much brighter than the configurator. Or is this image hyper adjusted digitally somehow? If this is what it looks like, switching to this or the T interior without the leather dash/doors I think. Thank you!

It has the "extended" Carrera T interior package with slate gray, just that the pick is "filtered" and "hadered" to death, making that slate grey appear as GT silver.
If it would have the "deviated stitching" in GT silver package, the stitching around the shifter would be in the same color/shade as the rest...which it isn't.
Garage pics…never enough space. This morning I drove the ‘72 and swapped it to storage to have the M3 around for rain duty.
First, I confirmed I have plenty of sound from the stock exhaust on the 992T. A friend did some drive by videos of my 992T in sport mode and it sounded great outside too. And in my case, I have a sweet N/A 993 3.6L with no cats in my ‘72 and it sounds epic but I think is too loud for daily use (I have inserts in the tailpipes to quiet it!). I plan to drive my T daily as much as weather allows.
Second, after driving the M3 I can appreciate some of the details of the 992T that much more. The steering is so much better and I appreciate the thinner race-Tex wheel. The suspension is so much more composed across the board. The clutch is heavier but more intuitive. Contrary to what some think here, the shifter is so direct and intuitive - plus with 7th it runs at maybe 2200 rpm at 85 mph. The 18 way cloth insert seats on the 992T make the competition package seats feel like BarcaLoungers. Everything in the 992T is another level or 2+ better.
Thanks for the comparison with the F80. How about cabin noise at highway speeds?

Thank you for insight! Are there any side by side images of what the "T" interior seat fabric looks like vs. the standard fabric? The configurator shows poorly on both vs. the actual photos.
If possible, anyone with the various standard, Base T interior or Max T interior (slate on both - the green shows up well in photos seen) can take pictures of their actual interiors and post here, would be very helpful!
(Ps - I've seen the other photo of the person who went GT silver stitching with the standard fabric seat material and that looks fantastic too!)
This is exactly what I want to know too. I'm interested in specing the "T" package without extended leather. Photo "A" is what I want it to look like, but photo "B" looks like how it appears of the configurator.
A.
B.
Are they the same but the material just looks darker in some photos? Or are they a different material?
I'm guessing the material with the "T" package is the same material as the base just with the pinstripes, but some of these photos make the contrast harsh.
congratulations! I’m down in monument, if you all plan anything I’d love to meet!
Anyone in Colorado going to the pca picnic tomorrow at bear creek lake park? As of now I’m planning to meet up with another friend (he is driving a beck 904 replica). It has been a while since either of us went to a pca social so we may not know anyone there. If you do go, there will be at least two people to chat with…
Took my first decent drive in my new T this morning. Put about 100 miles on it, and attended Cars & Coffee in Lafayette, CO. Very happy with how the T drives. Feels as playful at road speeds as my old 997.2, but is clearly much faster. Even keeping the revs below 4K rpm it pulls every bit as hard as the NA 3.6 in the 997 did at redline. Can’t wait to keep adding miles, but loving it so far.
In the garage with her little sister this morning.
At Cars & Coffee parked up next to a cool little air cooled outlaw.
Another from Cars & Coffee.
A quick stop for some food in Golden with one of my sons (a budding Porsche-a-phile)
Picked her up Thursday! Gave her a good bath today as the dealer bath wasn't the best. I am excited get to know all the ins and outs as this is my first 911. What is really cool is the wife is even excited about it, which wasn't the case during the waiting period.... I let her take it to her hair appointment yesterday. Figure I need to lean in and get her on board as much as possible, while also ripping off the band aid of nerves of her driving it.
