992 Carrera T Club
Order Confirmed, but... Q's re: ordering and PTS
If by some miracle this post by a Noob gets read...
I have a confirmed order. My freeze date is November 3, 2023 with a January 2024 delivery. Though I have been told by my SA (somewhat emphatically) that PTS is closed, I've read here and elsewhere in the past few days that people are ordering PTS. I was also told by someone with a popular YouTube channel that PTS re-opens in September, 2024.
IIRC, my SA was not thrilled about submitting an order with PTS selected only to have the order rejected at the last minute. He thinks the T will be discontinued soon and I will lose out on a car if this is the case. Does this mean the order isn't really looked at by Porsche until the closer to production and that any little hiccup means "no Porsche for you!"?
Such an opaque process for someone ordering a new Porsche for the first time. Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

I don't know that for certain, but if you have the build allocation I can't imagine that you'd completely lose it over PTS.

Looks great @Cartod
I particularly like the go-faster centre stripe over the bonnet and roof.
I just received a double-go-faster stripes. I must get a reputable installer to apply it for me.

@Adam12 , congrats on the allocation.
If PTS is available on configurator, Porsche is willing to build it. Cancellation is a possibility, but unlikely, as mixing paint is not the most challenging part of the supply chain and Porsche is charging a massive premium for the privilege.

Haha, wish I could have stayed a bit longer but at least another T got my parking spot! I told my buddy Will that I thought your RL handle was DSC something lol
I heard you guys were chatting for a while. Awesome license plate btw
There are nice cars there pretty much every day. The owner of the place - Nick, his dad used to own a Porsche dealership in Indiana so Nick had the bug from an early age. The café is Porsche themed and true to it's name, Sunday mornings are wall to wall Porsches. Saturdays have a lot of BMW's and some muscle cars, but also Porsches too. There is no rhyme or reason really, just car guys hanging out and drinking good coffee.
