Is that from your dealer or from a Gov’t source?

This may come as no surprise to some, but a surprise to others...

So a colleague of mine gave me the name of a Porsche manager in a neighboring state. he said give him a call, as he;’s a “pretty honest guy”. So yesterday I called and asked him, straight up, whether it is fairly common for a SA to bump a customer in the allocation line because of a higher discount? He said, “absolutely it is”. He added that some dealerships discourage this practice, but it is not forbidden, either. He did close with some optimism...he said don’t despair, and that eventually, I would get an allocation (at some point).

So, at this point, I have to believe that my 6% discount I negotiated has become an influencing factor in trying to secure an allocation.

Well now, that's no fun!

Hopefully mine holds at 11/13/20. It's moved twice so far.
Usually TYD moves the date out another week on the Sunday or Monday beforehand.
So I'm not exactly holding my breath at this point. But hope does spring eternal I suppose.

Does the certification include all 911 models typically (base, s and the turbos)??
Pardon the ignorance. First time dealing with this process. Have been a car lot buyer pretty much until now...

Funny. If this is a TTS cab it’s my spec,d in September (chalk over black). I then sent my 991.2 TTS Cab. in trade and once the car arrived the SM and GM tried to bait and switch me over 15k less than what we agreed on so I bailed, made them send my car back, and placed a new order with another dealer. My car due to arrive 11/29.

ok that is good. I was afraid the TTS would take longer given they are the first for the 992 generation.

The 3.0 and 3.8 are different certifications however there is a chance they would apply for both at the same time.

No, it's a C2S that I ordered in August. I don't have a trade involved in the transaction. It's strictly a cash deal. I have a written purchase agreement. I don't imagine they'll try to modify or wriggle out of it.

Total of 98 Showing on Cars.com but none with pics in the US. Up from 88 2021 992s that cars.com showed on 5th Nov when I checked. So someone is posting something....on their websites.

TDY still shows 11/13 release date as before which has been showing across the forum I think after the original move date from 11/6 about a week and a half ago.

Not surprised...seen it happen before depends on the dealership and their ah "practices" some would say morals! Had a friend order a dealer spec'd Cayman 981 GT4 when they first came out. Had PO and price set but was an out of state buyer. When he called to finalized shipping they balked and started to renege on the deal. Ended up saying the were uncomfortable now (mgmt) with doing an out of state sell...they knew he was out of state the whole time at initial purchase..and they sold the car to a local buyer. Turns out later when I asked someone I really knew at the dealership )Former salesman) that it was a common thing and why he left them. Also we found the actual owner of the car on RL who bought it and he said yes he offered the dealer $15k over MSRP (my friend had a deal for MSRP) and they sold it to him after making him wait a day...telling him the original guy had backed out and didn't want it anymore! When he complained the ended up putting him on a so called dealers "black list" claiming he was suspected of trying to export the cars to other buyers at over MSRP and he couldn't get a car from another dealer for awhile...matter of fact hasn't ordered a car since or bought one...really soured him on the Porsche brand!

So yeah...it happens...though it shouldn't!
