There is also a Rennlist member here that has a PIWIS III setup for sale. (I have not included his username as I have not asked his permission to list it. I can provide folks with the username via PM if needed). If you have a laptop laying around with a minimum i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, you can get a PIWIS III Version 42.950 from Mars. He is a GREAT RESOURCE for information. Setup is very straightforward. He can also sell you the VNCI PT3G VCI adapter. And I can tell you that I paid nowhere near the prices listed in your post.
I had an older ThinkPad X1 Carbon (6th Gen) with an i& processor, 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. I was able to re-partition the disk to free up the necessary three disk partitions for the PIWIS III software and created a dual-boot system. Using Dual Boot (a feature included in Windows 11), I can either boot to my PIWIS image or my Win 11 image. I have a complete setup that even includes a second USB-C monitor so I have run PIWIS III one on monitor and see other applications (like a web browser or Arcobat) on the second monitor.
I also came across a Schumacher INC100 power supply (100A Flash Reprogrammer/Power Supply – Schumacher Electric) to provide the car with nexessary power while playing around with your new PIWIS III. According to a good friend of mine who works for PCNA, this power supply was a piece of standard equipment at dealers.
Anyway, just wanted to add this one to the list. I'm not trying to be cagey about the supplier, I just don't have his permission to publicize his name.
Thanks, I was not in E mode. I changed that and was able to drill down and change to the wing value but when I try write it, I get an error code: this vehicle data could not be created. 29000: negative control unit response: security access denied (7F2E33). I am going to reinstall another image per Mars and try again. Cheers, Kevin
I'd like to, but the problem with the forums is that there's a ton of info in this post but can't seem to find a single source of truth. lots of individual comments and nothing is consolidated into one.
So if there's a specific comment I can start out at and scroll a bit to figure it out, that'd be great!

Just search for the AeroKit thread. All of us who DIY’d the install have posted there. It’s a 2-hour install max if you have even the most basic mechanical inclination. All of your questions will be answered in the thread linked below.

My bad, I wasn't clear. I'm doing the install myself. Just referring to coding the spoiler portion of it.
Thank you! I have these instructions already too, thanks to a prior post of yours. I'll look into buying all the required things to get a PIWIS setup at home.
