I have 3 entries for DME, and in the actual values tab, none of them have Z-Timing

Some funky values there. Are you clicking on 0x1? What version or where did you get your PIWIS from?

Finally figured it out:

Change to Standard “V” mode in the PIWIS 3 main menu under Tools

Diagnostics -> Diagnostics -> Engine electronics (DME) [0x1] -> Actual values input signals -> Z_Timing angle -> Next/F12 -> Z211/Z212/Z213 for number of ignitions and operating hours -> Next/F12

I know that @krburrrell had some success, but has anyone figured out how to update the PCM5 (MH2P) firmware? I'm thinking that it might unlock some further options that weren't available on early firmware revs.

As my dilemma continues - I'm just going to toss out this questions again...

Has anyone on this site ever coded in BCM1 or BCM2 on a '22 to '24 4GTS (or regular GTS) with PIWIS 3?

Realize it should work - but it doesn't. Still stating there's something blocking this and it has to do with PIWIS3 being for 20/21 992's (which I would think is the same for base/T/S going into 22 through 24).

Here is what I know on this PIWIS 3
  • Was able to go into Kombi and make changes there...Change the speedo needle color, change the car splash screen. These menus were there, these menus allowed me to change and write.
  • I'm also able to connect PIWIS 3 to my 981 - all functions including the BCM vorne and BCM hinten (the older equivalent to 1 and 2) show, I can confirm that I can make edits and write.

That being....
  • I think I'm okay in how to use PIWIS,
    • I can make edits on the GTS in some menus...though it seems somewhat limited
    • I can make edits in all menus on the 981
  • When I asked about PIWIS 4 with the engineer at CarTools, he said the same thing "to use PIWIS 3" which was part of the install...so he thinks I should work too.
  • Unless there's a new step I'm missing to get into the BCM on the 992 that I didn't have on the 981...I'm lost.
I'm to have the engineer get connected on Monday evening (as he's in the same disbelief)...so we'll see what he says when we take a look. Just would like to know if anyone's actually done this.

I've made changes to open and close windows and sunroof via key fob, and have rear light bar on as DRL, which I believe are changes in BCM1, and maybe BCM 2 (I'm sure someone will correct me here).
I've got a '24 GTS, and used PIWIS 3 that I bought from Mars.

Not all PIWIS software is the same out there. A lot of fancy shells with no capability. If you want the good stuff you have to hit up Mars @rnlst_log .

I don't know how many times I need to state that I reached out to him, and he never responded. I'm not sure what magic method you have to reach this guy...maybe share that, because he's not responding to emails.

Reach out to Mars, he can do it. Helped me twice now after the latest software removed the active matrix lights.

Has anyone figured out to enable Innodrive and Active Lane Keep on .1s? I already have ACC and Surround View (and so I believe ZFAS version C) and apparently these two are software only mods
FWIW: I know it's possible on the Cayenne (F7 > Maintenance Data > SPURHALTEASSISTENT > option 616) and then auto code all modules
