do you mind disclosing the tire insurance cost? Picking mine up in a few days and that’s the only thing I’m really interested in as the East Bay SF area has some horrid potholes.
Thanks
the finance guy at pickup day tried hard to sell maintenance packages to me. I felt embarrassed given my 6% discount for the 992 CS that I got in March this year so I agreed to the wheel and tire for $2250…….for 6 years. They still make money after slashing the prices in half!
I know a lot of you will scoff - but I dealt with a nail in driver’s side tread w/ a complete flat ( just like pictured). I plugged it. It’s been 10 days and I check the pressure w/ TPM and hand held gauge several times / day. It’s not lost any pressure. I’m sure it will but til that time , I’m riding on a plug and I’m totally fine with it. I know I know , Porsche will not advise a tire be plugged but this is on the tread , not sidewall nor shoulder. Flame on.
paid $25 to get mine patched. As long as it’s not on the side wall I cannot get myself to replacing a tire cos of a puncture unless the threads are gone.

I do it at the track out of necessity and if it is good enough for the track, I figure it is good enough for the street. I've never had a problem with plugs but I know what people say that the tire will suddenly explode and take out a school bus full of kinder garden children, etc. But if the hole is in the center of the tread it works well and can be fixed in 5 minutes.
