Default Track My Nightmare

Ordered my first Porsche a 992 C2 Cab in October and finally saw on June 1st that it cleared port processing In Jacksonville.

Not sure what the holdup is now as the car is waiting for transport to the dealer for 5 days and shows an estimated delivery date from 3 days ago.

I assume something happened with the release of the car. If it cleared port processing could they still be handling a software update or maybe it has something to do with the manual steering adjustment letter?

On my TYD it shows production started 5/16. Is my C2 stuck somewhere?

I wish I had received that pic back when my car was produced.

My original TYD timeline had my car "in production" for less than 10 days. It ended up stalling there for 30+ days. My guess (and it is a totally blind, shot in the dark, out of my @ss guess) is that I went into the body shop on schedule but was somehow held up and not put into the next stage of the production line as they waited for a part or two.

TYD says my current status is the car is at the dealer, but then also says the timeline for that is July 1. It seems quirky at best.
Would be impressed if it finished production on June 1, and got to the US in less than a week

Very cool! So we both received notifications that our 992s have been produced. How long till they get to the dealers?

Default Good Year Tires??

Factory installs all three….just a “luck of the draw” situation. I would prefer Michelins but got Pirelli’s on my 992S. I am OK with it.

$15k is high for a base 911. Of course it depends on the market. My car was $128k MSRP and dealership wanted $10k ADM. I was able to negotiate $5k ADM if I also did the financing with them. But I only financed $44k. The rest I paid cash.

Sharing in case this helps your negotiation.

I'm in Canada so it seems as if the Porsche online tracker isn't as detailed as the US one. I saw on the site I now have my VIN. Does that mean my car is finished construction? Thanks

Not necessarily.

Production could be imminent, in progress or complete.

I've visited 3 car manufacturing facilities - the VIN physically gets attached to the car (frame/chassis) at the very earliest stage of production
