SFL Conductor arriving to Houston port tomorrow with my 2022 GT Silver Carrera S Cabriolet! Hope to pick my car up at the dealer the week after next. Is there anyone else who has a car on this ship for delivery in Houston? I have asked this question before and have heard “crickets”.

Here are a few pics of my 992 Targa 4S (Manual) in Jet Black Metallic..

I am having a full PPF (to help with the black color and cleaning), as well as full ceramic exterior and interior. I also had my dealer active the PSE in the PCM a software update (not as loud as a full PSE, but better than not having it activated) - I wanted the quad pipes, so thought I would do at least the PSE enablement.

Congrats! Beautiful car with some nice specs. Curious to know if your dealer gladly enabled PSE without cost or were there some negotiations/costs invloved?

They were happy to do it, I sent the instructions from a thread on how to do it. They mentioned they would charge me 90-100 dollars (for ~1 hour of service). to do it. I think they ended up doing it for free as they were prepping the car, and it only took about 10 minutes to do. (I never saw an additional 100 bucks charged). They also programmed it to the 1st open selection switch on the dash as well.

Can you please elaborate a bit? So you didn’t option the PSE but had the dealer enable the feature in PCM so you can toggle PSE on/off from PCM even though the actual PSE isn’t on the car? In the end, it makes an actual difference? Just curious if I can ask my dealer to do this too (I didn’t option PSE).

So the non PSE also has two valves like the physical PSE exhaust (they exhaust are similar in that regard) so that when PSE "switch" on a non-PSE is open, you will get more sound than without PSE being activated. It is not as "loud" as the PSE, as there are some resonance differences with the PSE vs Non-PSE physical exhausts, but does give you more sound (burbles, etc.) when enabled.

The instructions are in this thread. If you look at post 16 and specifically point your Porsche Service Tech to page 10-13 of the link in post 16.

Hi Guys,

So i am not getting much in the way of updates from Dealership or anything, but i have have a January allocation for a C4GTS and i placed the order in September. This is in Germany.

Salesperson at the dealership says they are not familiar with "Key events list" or "Key dates" from the PVTS screen - says hes never seen that screen before in his 12 years of working for Porsche, when i sent him a screenshot.

MyPorsche shows that my order is now in Phase 1 (for the past month or so) - Do you know how long it normally takes between Phase 1 and delivery?

Im doing a factory pickup from Leipzig, but havent gotten any info about potential dates, and considering this is all supposed to be happening next month, i find it a little odd that they dont have more info by now. Is this normal for Germany maybe?

Thanks!

That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing. Gonna ask my dealer and hope they’ll agree to do it. Enjoy your ride!

Ho Ho Ho!!!! My nearly 12 month wait ended yesterday. C2S was delivered.
It was an exciting process and the delivery was awesome. Gotta get her wrapped asap as the paint is super delicate..... PPF, Ceramic and Tint is next.
Happy Holidays everyone!

Kiddo approved!

Awesome and congrats! Good to see kiddo approved.

For me, just before pandemic I fit my 12 yr old son and 6 yr old daughter in the test drive car no problem. Entire family fits. Now that my delivery is a month away, my son is taller than me - no chance to get him in the back for anything other than short trips.

Gorgeous car - congrats - love GB.

Curious what you're basing this delicate paint comment on?

saw some residue on the roof, grabbed a microfiber towel, did a bit of rubbing and ended up with what now looks like scratches. Now I'm afraid to look at it the wrong way before ceramic coat. The Gentian blue, much like the Lapiz blue on my Golf R, is ripe for swirls paint imperfections tho.
