appt with Detailer's Domain for PPF and ceramic coating (Phil is one of the best in the NY/NJ area)
@nextlevelauto Congrats on your pickup! You've made a great call having Phil do your PPF installation... I've known him for years and started off buying supplies from him nearly 18 years ago now! He did the install on my 991.1 and will do a good job for you.
OMG delivery day is tomorrow, and I'm kid on xmas eve!
I plan on posting my start to finish diary of this build process and comparison to my 991.1
Already bought:
mirror tap for my redline radar detector
clear side lamps
akrapovic slip on
appt with Detailer's Domain for PPF and ceramic coating (Phil is one of the best in the NY/NJ area)
Need to look into:
dash cam
GT3 side skirts (already built with aerokit sideskirts which now I kinda regret)
sport cats or catless with tune (I hope I don't want or need it)
smarttop (had it in my 991)
That's awesome! Congrats! I still have a couple more weeks but hoping mine arrives before New Years.
On the PPF, do you find 3rd party preferable over doing it with the dealer? Do they use better product or are they priced better?
Out of curiosity, what is the akrapovic slip on?
Final day of waiting . I pick up today at 2 pm . It’s been at dealer since Saturday. Longest wait of the journey . Although my journey was shorter than most . Last day of June called my local dealer . Lucky me they had a allocation for an s model . Secured it that day . A few days later traded in my 2015 for more then I paid for it 3 years earlier . Dealer had it sold in less then a month for substantial more then they gave me . Good so far right …..except now without my car …..that is until today so happy ending all
In house or vendors dealers use is a toss up from what I'm reading on the forums
In house should be cheaper than a real deal detailer
If they use an outside vendor, it will always be more as dealers will pad the cost with their profit
The akrapovic is the exhaust everyone on the this forum talks about and has made me poorer because of it haha
Ok, I'm officially "waiting" for my 992. Just a base Carrera, but my first P car new order. Freeze point reached, ETD 80 days - Tick tock....

Carrera owners need to stand tall-don’t feel like you are settling. Fantastic car and highly capable. Great color and great build.
TYD shows my car, on the Felicity Ace which left today, arriving in Davisville on 1/14 and at my dealer on 1/21. Totally impossible as the Felicity Ace is supposed to get to Davisville around 12/24 or so.
Others have remarked in the past that once your car gets on the boat, you can forget about the validity of TYD….just follow your boat online at any number of sites.

That's exactly what mine is showing as well. It certainly doesn't make sense. I'm hoping it makes it to the dealer the last week of the year or first week of next year worst case.
