Was the SFL Conductor originally scheduled to arrive in Houston on Dec 8th? I was expecting an arrival two weeks later based on feedback from Porsche.

Screen this thread for schedules posted. The next ship hitting Baltimore is the Siem Aristotle leaving Emden December 3/4 and arriving in Baltimore December 17/18. I hope to be on that ship if the schedule is correct.

For those on the SFL Conductor - It has unloaded all cars in Port of Baltimore (Sparrows Point) and is underway to Houston. Cars in Baltimore will go through clearing over the next couple days (hopefully) and then get picked up for transport.
Should - if transport is not delayed, be at your dealer within about a week for those that just got dropped off in Baltimore!

I think it's highly dependent on where you live, how frequently you drive the car, etc.
My car is now my daily driver and the roads are terrible in the Northeast, so getting it was a no-brainer for me based on how expensive wheels and tires are for a 911 (especially with the 20''/21'' setup). Even if I never use it, the price is worth the peace of mind it gives me.

In my experience, comprehensive covers objects that hit the car from the air or from another vehicle (like if something falls off a truck and hits your car). But if there are objects already on the road and you hit them and they damage your car, comprehensive coverage won’t cover that. I had first-hand experience with that at least with my insurance company.

My auto insurance should cover most of the damage, but I also have a $1,000 deductible. I think my wheel/tire insurance is more comprehensive in terms of cosmetic damage, and there's no deductible. So I think it really just comes down to personal preference. I'm the type of driver who worries about everything and would hate any sort of cosmetic damage or slight bend in the wheel, so the extra coverage was worth it to me, haha.
