Beautiful car. Quick question about the Race-Tex steering wheel. I love the look and imagine I would also love the feel, but how is the durability/maintenance/care of the Race-Tex vs. leather.

There are plenty of threads on this. Mostly people that don't have it hate it and people that do like it. My 5 year old car had Alcantara that looked brand new even after plenty of sweaty track days in Florida, I opted for it on my build.

My old S4 had Alcantara seat inserts and they were perfect after 8 years and 52k miles. But they didn't get my sweat on them 🙂

Let’s suspend reality for a moment and assume (apologies for the blasphemy) that someone who uses their 911 as a DD may occasionally pull through a fast food drive through and eat in their car. How would the Race-Tex hold up to the accidental greasy french fry finger? I do pamper my cars, maintain them well and keep them very clean, but I also use my cars and occasionally give in to the craving (or necessity) to eat/snack in my car.

So food grease may not be advisable.

My TYD continues to change, some for the better, sometimes not so much. It has now completed production and is enroute to Emden. I see a message that says that part 9WT (mirrorlink, smartphone use from the center console touchscreen) is no longer available. Does anyone know what that is and do you think it is chip related and can be retrofitted at some point.

The dealership put those on the car for me when they delivered it. I didn’t ask or pay them to do that. It’s just a complimentary “thank you” from them. Much better than a pen or key chain, IMHO.

Attached is the latest directly from PWL Group. Logistics are a mess. The attached is in a different format, with a lot of "to be confirmed" dates listed. The best you can get from this is the current order of ships scheduled to come in and their planned ports. For any meaningful detail you'll need to check Marine Traffic or other sites to see exactly where the ships are and their next stop, etc.

Try looking on marinetraffic.com. In search box, check vessel, and type in name. That should then take you to a page that says where it is located by latitude/longitude and whether it is moored or under power. You can click on a map page to see location. There is also a link on the page to forecasted route (at least, once it leaves Emden).
You will be able to track the ship from marinetraffic.com as long as it is within reach of the ground based radio location system. You will loose ship as it crosses Atlantic, unless you pay extra for satellite tracking.
Happy stalking.
