Anyone have an updated position on the SFL Conductor? Vesselfinder (the free version) still hasn't updated its position from five days ago, yet it's due into Davisville this evening.

she is very close to mooring at Davisville, good luck for a quick turn around, hope to see her with my car in Jacksonville later this week
What did you tell the dealer about prepping the. r to avoid swirls? My detailed cautions me against the dealer scratching the paint
My dealer asked if I wanted the car prepped, or if I was taking it straight for PPF/ceramic coating. I think this is becoming more and more common as people ask the dealer for no prep when the car is delivered. So much so they are starting to expect it from a few of their customers. As others have mentioned, it also saves the dealer time.
My dealer offers PPF and ceramic, so I was thinking of having them do it as long as they are competitive with the better detailer shops. Is it a mistake to consider just having the dealer do it? I would think they are pretty expert at doing this on new 911s.
My car is released but still hanging out in Davisville too.
What does your dealership say about the payments? You haven't been issued a title--so how can they require you to make a payment?
I did my first 992 build in 2020 as well. The factory closed because of covid the day before mine was supposed to start being built. I ended up being delayed about 5 months- so I was super excited that this one was going so quickly and ahead of schedule. That is, until it hit Davisville.
I just got notice on my TYD that my car is on it's way to the dealership!! So there is hope..........

I am debating the same thing. Dealer wanted $3400, does not remove the headlights etc (which I don't want done). Not the entire car, just the front, A pillars and front of roof, rocker panels, rear hips, and rear bumper below the lettering. I have to visit the locally best rated shop near me to see if it makes sense to take them the car after delivery.
Ordered a 4S Cab for my wife, delivery to LA Center tentative of 8/9/24, out 40th anniversary is 8/11/24 and she doesn't know I ordered this to replace here 997 4S Cab.
My freeze date was 4/22/24.
On 5/7/24 I was notified production would begin on 5/21/24 and was issued a vin#
It's been crickets since 5/7 I Was hoping .like some of you that they would move up the production start date, and when I looked this am now got worried the build might be delayed.
So happy to see an email from Porsche 1 hour ago that "the manufacturing process has now stated 12:54 pm today and completion and delivery are still as stated before.
I see a number of you folks showing "build" pictures, at what point in time can I see them, and, how to I look to find them?? thanks!! Mike
Curious why you don't want headlights removed...seems like the best way to ensure that the edges are wrapped? Part of my thinking with having dealer do it is actually that I would trust them to remove headlights and do it properly.
Going to call my guy for a quote and then check prices with some reputable detailers. If I'm getting it done at the dealer, I want to schedule so they can start as soon as the car arrives.
Sure enough, SFL Conductor is now at anchor and is not scheduled to arrive in Jacksonville until the 28th. Just my luck! Sorry to share my luck with whoever was expecting an earlier arrival in both Davisville and Jacksonville. Fingers crossed the schedule changes.
