Well, after arriving to Jacksonville and sitting there for a couple of days including the holidays, I got a call late yesterday that the car was there and ready to be picked up. Turns out my bank had forwarded the portion being financed unbeknown to me, so it is literally signing a couple of things and out the door. Work late Monday, so not happening until early Tuesday. Just talked to my detailer guy and he is ready to go with full paint correction and Graphene coating immediately.
To say I am super excited it’s an understatement!!
Virgo Leader just pulled out of Southampton dock (live pic below from the Ferry Terminal webcam!!) on her way to San Diego (after a stop in Cartagena).
Now it says Port processing complete. But it won't be at the dealer for 3 days. Not complaining here but unless they are waiting to fill a truck for a 300 mile journey it shouldn't take 3 days. Either way, it's getting close.
Awesome, now the wait becomes a little more agonizing.
Mine hit San Diego yesterday and my TYD says port processing will be done Jan 1, whats the matter with these guys? Do they really think I can wait that long?
Its not about Arizona not being a CARB state - CARB has been resolved for a couple of week. It is about the backlog that was caused by all the cars that were affected being held up. It is possible that SD backlog has been cleared but just cautioning you that that might not be the case. I would have thought Davisville would have been cleared as well and yet a couple of weeks later it is not the case
Craig,
Is your rod making any progress? Any updates?

@Muhney So mine left the port today and got to my dealer this afternoon. Will be picking up tomorrow.
SA said the delay was in part due to backlog for the CARB issue but also a delay in Porsche billing my dealer for the car. It is very variable. A rennlister on the forum on the same boat had his car arrive on Saturday and mine and a Boxster GTS on the same boat for another customer of my SA was delayed until today. Small issues and I am still a week and 2 days earlier than my initial promise date so no complaints
Went out today to get a bottle of Bourbon for my SA who was awesome. He kept me appraised from day 1 and never failed to return a checkup text within 30 mins. Could not have asked for more and the deal was not too shabby either.
Two things I learned is that it seems totally random and also the dealers have very little ability to intervene or even find out what the delay is,
I dropped off my winter wheels tonight and tomorrow will pick the car up wearing its winter slippers. Unfortunately I was not able to see the car yet and won't get to see it with its 20/21 Summer sneakers until the spring.

Nice, congratulations. Enjoy the new ride and be safe.
I take my hat off to those of you that had cars stuck at Port for weeks or months. My Car has now been at Port for 3 days and it's making me crazy. I'm impressed that most of you showed so much restraint. Happy New Year everyone.
Mine is on the Amsterdam which just docked in Rhode Island. I’m told it’ll take a week to get to Princeton NJ. Anyone else waiting for a car on this boat?
My car is on the Rhea Leader and it looks like it’s passing through the Panama Canal as of today. My ETA got pushed back a day to 1/6, but tyd still shows that it will be at my dealership on 1/8.

Well if you’re anything like me, I’m sure you’re wearing a hole in the carpet from pacing back and forth. At least we’ll be driving our new cars soon! My TYD says that my car is on the boat but that the boat is still in Emden (TYD is clearly wrong because the boat just got to Rhode Island last night). I hope they get TDY buttoned down because it was a nice thing to track the car.
