Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!

Give your SA a call. Mine knew the info before it was on TYD. You might be pleasantly surprised. Also the schedule for the emden port is wildly wrong when it comes to boats arriving and departing. The Amsterdam wasn’t even on the schedule.

Wife picked up her Macan today... lovely beast that is!
Anyway, Sales Rep (UK based) told me my 992 was due for production completion on the 25th, poor Germans working Christmas Day 😉 Also, some factory delays at the moment and good old Brexit is backing up car loading at port for all exports, not just the UK, so expect to see some timelines being pushed back for getting on a boat.

Was hoping to get on RCC Amsterdam, but looks likely that I'll not make that ship.

Last week TYD indicated my dates were delayed a month or so. Completion wa pushed out to 1/16. This evening it now shows my car was completed today and is heading to Emden. The arrival date also moved back to its original position in mid-February. And...no photos! I wonder if any of this is them just messing with us.

What could possibly go wrong? Well, here's a photo of the Cougar Ace, the sister ship to the one my car is on.

I'm just a simple Cayman purchaser so Porsche doesn't let me track my car as easily as you guys do. But I can offer a bit of hope for you. My car was scheduled to sit in Emden for nearly four full weeks and not be loaded until after Christmas. However, it was loaded on the Swift Ace last week, 7 days after arriving in Emden and it's west of Portugal now dodging North Atlantic storms on the way to Baltimore and then to Jacksonville where my car will be offloaded. If there are no unusual delays, it should make landfall nearly three weeks ahead of schedule.

Mine arrived in Emden on 12/3 and has been there for 2 weeks. States won't leave until 12/25; which in no way means it will make it to Philly by 1/15.
Based on the PWL site, the only boat that is even coming to Baltimore this month is the Siem Aristotle. Which was supposed to load in Emden on 12/12, but is still anchoring in the North Sea waiting to get into Emden.
Wondering if there have been some delays with Germany's shut down this week.
