It’s happening!!
at this point how accurate is the timeline on TYD? I’ve heard some say they may be 2 weeks early... is this typical?

@Musclecarmarcus Its typical except when you are expecting it and relying on it. Murphy's law. Speaking for myself TYD has been very accurate but only after the fact

Putting aside factory delays, special builds or product shortages you will be finished in 5-6 days, it will be in Emden 2-3 days after that and because Davisville has 5 boats a month you will likely be on a boat about 7 days later, in port 10 days after that and if CARB has been passed in the dealer 3 days after that.

My Build started on 11/18 and finished 11/25 and was in Emden on 11/27 and on a boat on 12/5 and will be in Davisville on 12/16 and at Ray Catena 3 days later if CARB Allows

I too am getting a C2 and can't wait. My winter wheels and clear marker and colored Porsche wheel caps arrive tomorrow !!!!!!!!!

Where in NJ are you.

my experience (and checking the pwl.de shipping schedules) indicate that the emden->davisville voyage is typically closer to 15-18 days.

The schedules I am seeing and the ship tracking are saying closer to 11 -12 days to Davisville. 18 days for a transatlantic crossing seems a lot. Even TYD officially is saying 13 days

So, the main MyPorsche app shows that my car has been produced, but TYD still thinks it is at start of production with an estimated CP8.0 of last Friday. Anyone else encountering this?

It seems TYD is very variable and very hit or miss. Mine turned out to be really accurate but there are many for whom that is not the case. It might stay that way or it might jump ahead suddenly all the way to its true spot. Remember in 5seconds your SA can give you a very accurate report back and even txt you or email you a picture - do not feel bad about requesting that from your SA

among the variables are 1) weather and 2) Halifax stop en route. Shortest scheduled voyage is typically 11 days; actual can be up to 18, but that is an extreme.

I found shipping schedules at
pwl.de —
Shipping Portal / Schedules / TradeLane : US West&East Coasts / Concern:Volkswagen

and think the best ship tracking site is
MarineTraffic
(uses AIS data, which is taken from coastal stations or (for $0.99/day) from satellite if out of coastal receiver range.

that timeline still puts me around 2 weeks early (give or take I’m using optimistic estimates with my math). That’s just fine with me!

I’m in Central NJ by great Adventure. Western Monmouth county. How about you?
