Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
I wouldn't be surprised if they've slowed down/stopped production on the 992.1 models for this time, especially considering the announcement on May 28th is now official.

Pre-production 992.2s would be in the hundreds and spread out over months. It would not slow 992.1 production that much.

I agree, but also recall reading on here that the assembly line part of the factory tours weren't available for a few weeks to make the 992.2 prototypes (?).

Assembly is running and keeping my fingers crossed that all will go smoothly. Just received notice that my car was finished 3 days ahead of schedule.

I previously posted a screenshot of a post from Facebook. Regardless that alone is not going to significantly slow down 992.1 production. That is not how it works in automotive manufacturing.
I'm in Chicago too and my cars been waiting at the Emden port for over three weeks now. I go through Baltimore so assume you both would as well. A Baltimore bound ship (Siem Cicero) is to leave Emden tomorrow so fingers crossed that's my ride!!

Good luck and would be surprised if your car didn’t make it on the ship if it’s been sitting for three weeks
Who's your dealer?
