Default Early Completion

My C4S Step 04 began on April 12, with TYD scheduled completion on 4-19. Today, I got one heck of a surprise...my final two photo from the factory! First two pictures showed up yesterday so needless to say I was quite stunned to see this morning's update.

Schedule (approx,)

Closer...

And, even closer!

I don't have the "insights from production" banner when I log into my.porsche, was this here immediately upon hitting step 4?

I hit step 4 yesterday (4/14), just wondering if I should be seeing this now, or if it doesn't show up right away?

Also, this is where you see the production images, correct?

Thank you

Seems to be hit or miss. There is a tag that you can turn on for email notification, I have mine turned on.

I did get an email for step 3, but I hit step 4 yesterday, no email was sent.

I didn’t notice it until several days after the build started. The photos tend to come in a dump and not as your car moves through each production step.

FYI, The only email I received was at the build entered the "03" phase. My first 2 photos came unannounced, after the phase 04 date had begun, but I did have the "Insights From Production" window pop-up on 4-14 with those photos. Today, one day later, and again with no email, the final 2 photos arrived in the "Insights" section.

@Schwarz992C4S
What is that round sensor behind the rear wheel. Looks to be a parking sensor. I had a 21 C2S and I don't remember that being there.

Car has additional sensors on each corner of the vehicle for Remote Park Assist. I haven’t tried that option out yet…😜

Default Possible to delay delivery date?

I'm going to try asking this here before starting a new thread....

This is probably the opposite of what most people want, but I'm wondering if it's generally possible, in the U.S., to delay a delivery date by a significant amount of time--e.g., a couple months. I anticipate a difficult travel schedule later this year and don't want to commit to a date on which I might not be able to take delivery of the car. I'm still early in the process and haven't locked down the build or the date yet, but I wanted to see if anyone had insight on what might be possible and at what stage of the process there might be flexibility. Thanks!

Assuming there isn’t any kind of delay with the process itself, it’s just up to you and the dealer (assuming you’re not doing ED or PCLA). I’m sure a few days or a week should be no problem at all. Beyond that, you could probably work something out with them to explain your situation of traveling and not being there to get the car. Maybe you could offer them a substantial deposit so they know you’re serious and will keep the car for you. As you know 911s are going like hot potatoes so you don’t want them to think you’re pulling their leg for whatever reason and they’re gonna waste a couple months and only then have to find a new buyer.

You will likely get your 2 month delay even without asking. my delivery last week was 3.5 months after the original TYD delivery date.

I am sure it depends on the dealer but with mine I discussed the delayed pickup option since delivery dates were being pushed back into a period when I expected significant travel. My SA said if I paid for it they would be happy to keep it for a few months since cars are so hard to get. They like having cars to fill out all the empty spots/give people something to look at. He was even willing to promise keeping it on the showroom floor… They also wouldn’t start the warranty/official delivery. Not exactly sure how they planned to handle that on their side. Regardless it is worth a discussion with your SA.

Obviously if you’re not paying for the car then I would expect things to be different.
