Be real interesting to see if your car get delivered on time - that might mean that they've corrected the issue and they're back on schedule. In any case, it sure does suck for those cars held up at the port and just sitting there waiting for the new chips".
And I too feel PhilH930's pain. A 5 month delay on delivery - terrible

Did you consider asking for a European delivery? I started with a Cayman GTS 4.0 wait list in the summer or 23. When I contacted my SA and told him I wanted to move to the Carrera T, he put me on the list in Nov of 23. He told me that if I requested a euro delivery it would move me up because it give the dealer and additional allocation that they normally would't receive. I received the call in January that I got my allocation and my order was placed. April 23 is my feeze point for my build. The Euro delivery is only $1500.00 extra and comes with some cool perks if you can swing it.

I expect Porsche has already addressed the issue for new cars being manufactured. Delays at the port cost Porsche money. It seems to me that every new model year there are always delays at the port for one reason or another. My guess is that cars being built now are going to go through the ports fine. Probably end up being delivered before the ones being held at port because they have to retrofit the new parts at the ports.

For those of us whose cars are already built and waiting for a ship at Emden, one would think and HOPE that Porsche would have dispatched a team of technicians to replace the faulty component. Fixing them while in Emden would avoid further increasing the backlog at US ports.
Fingers crossed this is the case.

Spoke to my SA yesterday, my 992 GTS allocation came in. Build to start in May. Was told that builds started after the holds were placed at the entry ports should avoid the embargo issues.

Just returned to this thread as I saw on another thread that there were delays from a chip that needs to be replaced. A similar issue happened a few years ago when my MY2021 vehicle sat at the port in Davisville for 4 months (August 2020-December 2020) when the U,S. decided to punish VW by delaying all its cars at port under an 'emissions testing' issue when VW got caught fudging their emissions data, To soften the blow of extended wait times for delivery PCNA gave customers waiting for delivery 1-2 years of free annual maintenance based on the amount of time your car waited at the port. Mine was one of the shorter wait times, with some waiting up to 6-9 months at that time. The good thing for those waiting is that they know exactly how to fix this hardware issue whereas my delay was when they were simply waiting to get clearance from a pissed off U.S. government. Might not be a bad idea to ask PCNA for a year or two of free annual maintenance if your car will be sitting at port for a few months. That program was doled out by PCNA, not the dealers.

Wow...looks like I got lucky. My car landed in the US on 12/1 and I picked it up at the dealer on 12/15.
