The dealer has the configurator for 2021, but it is not on-line for customers.

I just got off the phone with Porsche NA. The 2021 configurator, both dealers and customers, is on hold. I guess if you did get a 2021 build, be glad, because as of today, it's on hold according to Porsche.

Yes, the on-line public configutor is on hold, but the dealer has theirs running. You can configure a 2021at the dealership.

The dealerships have been told not to. Something changed and Porsche has frozen all info on MY21.

Interesting. It's changing day-by-day. A few days ago they sent out the info on the '21 992 changes and noted the configurator was up for dealerships. Maybe a bean counter realized they had parts for the '20 that they needed to use.

I think it's more related to the shutdown. They don't know what their production capacity will be yet, and they may have a few cancellations for 2020 models due to the economic conditions. We can speculate but would love to know when it will be available. And I was very specific about the configurator being available to the dealerships. So, I guess you can say that all future orders are on hold for now.

Well I got "some" good news today. My lock date which was reset for May 15th prior to COVID-19 shutdown just locked on May 5th (9 days sooner). I guess I can hope that the delivery moves up as well from the end of July to mid-July; I'll just have to wait and see.

Anyone else's schedule change?

What was the original lock date?

I don't have any news from my SA.

Congratulations---this is great news!!! By any chance did you get an email for Track Your Dream (they are saying that you receive it once the VIN is created at lock)?

The original lock date was either March 18 or 20th (don't remember for sure but that is reasonably close). I do know that TODAY was the day I was supposed to get the 1st order I created before I changed dealerships. But that's OK, it would have been delayed as well and I made several changes from my original order.

No I have not. Hopefully that will change soon as all my updates have been through my SA who always sends me a screen shot of all of the dates.

Seems too good to be true.
