I know that I would not have purchased any of my 3 GT cars, had Manual not been available.

I was at PTX Barber a few weeks ago and had several sessions in their GT3s. They have 4 Shark Blue cars with comfort seats in the fleet and all are PDK with PCCB. Coming from my winged manual with LWB it was a good comparison.

I’m hoping to be able to compare PDK vs manual, but my car is like a completely different car than a stock GT3 at this point.

In what sense has 992 PDK distanced itself further from Manual than in 991.2?

Still easy to avail oneself of the downforce and better suspension while shifting manually, imo…

The two gearbox choices are almost totally unchanged between generations.

In the strict sense that he chose the PDK and he knows best

it's just my opinion...I have owned many GT3's starting with 996. First 991.1 was PDK, and as soon as the 991.2 was avail w MT, I ordered and traded...I LOVE MT Porsche's, including my 72S and 73RS Carrera, and 991 Speedster (which one would NEVER EVER want a PDK in....).....

I just felt the the 992 GT3, the first time I drove a MT......really was better suited for a PDK, and ordered mine that way. And never looked back, still super happy. Just one man's opinion...albeit a strong one in this case....

I think you are saying that the lightweight flywheel means the revs drop quickly, so the manual car can be a bit challenging to drive perfectly without the electronic auto-blip aids, which then maybe PDK is the better choice; technology exists in both, so just embrace it fully. If that is the point, it is a fair one. But that manual transmission sure is fun. It all comes down to your use case and preference. I am personally in the manual camp. It seems like most of the auto companies don't get it either though.

Champion Bruno salesperson told me that GT3 production will continue for another year. Good news for me!

IF TRUE, we may need to change the title of this thread!

Yes, they‘ll be finishing up all the 2022’s they’re still working on

So production continues but new allocations are unlikely?

I was just joking around since there are a few people still waiting for their 2022 builds. I’m pretty sure there are 2023 allocations.

I would re-phrase as: "production continues but new allocations will be scarce".

From all I am hearing, focus will be on the GT3 RS and GT4 RS which will result in scaling back / small GT3 allocations for MY23.

Dealers get all 3 allos very soon, so we should have something more specific.

well, that is a good way to put it. And, like I said, I have a 991 Speedster MT, which has the same engine as the 992 GT3....so I have the best of both worlds .....I forgot to mention that another reason I prefer the PDK in the 992 is because I wanted a PDK car to go with the Speedster...Llke I say, it's all a matter of personal choices and opinions......
