I wish this was true, but it seems like the MY2024 build got pushed back to the september completion date. If it doesn’t get delayed again (the 8th or 9th time now, I lost track) since the start of this year, now seems like it’ll be here on my bday in November. I really can’t complain tho, got it for MSRP and have other cars to drive but wish it was here, been patient. hope I don't get any more delays because this is such an amazing car from what I remember driving it on SPA from the Porsche NFT experience. anyone else experience this much of a delay with their RS? I also called Porsche but they said “RS’s can take up to 2 years from start of production till end” which isn’t true I believe

Do you guys want good news or bad news?

Good news is those who have VINs will get a car. Bad news is those who don’t, might not.

The 9/11 production date is a placeholder. I’m tempted to ask who has a car on order with that date….

The 992.1 RS will be a (relatively) low production car.

Why would Porsche mislead customers who have been waiting months for the car? What am I missing?

They just f*cked up. Had to be completely built by end of this calendar year and they just can't. Wow. So much money left on the table.

So why hand out allocations for Oct and Nov builds? Makes no sense.

Relative low production compared to the 992.1 GT3s yes, not compared to the 991.2 GT3s.

It's really not that difficult to understand and you shouldn't be viewing this like there is ill intent. It's business and I'm sure you, myself, and everyone else has done the same in their business.

Ever intend or want or plan to do something, but couldn't? Porsche handed out allocations with the intent of building that allocation. For the 1,000 reasons that have been discussed 25M times, it is quite possible they don't build that allocation.

If anything, this is a stark reminder how challenging it is to build these cars.

What v number does the Vin get assigned at? I thought 200, but maybe I have that wrong.

I’m not saying they won’t be built, but as time passes it’s looking more and more difficult

Well, if they cancel my GT3RS allocation then I'll buy a used Ferrari so at this point I'll leave it up the car gods to determine what happens.

So I signed a buyers order yesterday for an October build and put down $80k as a deposit. It's at V110 waiting for PTS approval.

Are you saying they are now going to cancel my order?

If they took the 30% deposit then probably it is an confirmed allocation and you will get the car.
