GT3RS Allocation Thread

Absolutely I dont for added market value but given the amount of delays, headaches, uncertainties, missed driving days/seasons, knowing PTS held its value better somewhat helped deal with the negatives of the process. This has been the case before but now with 992, just way too many PTS cars, delays got much worse, and it doesnt feel as special (as it used to) because its more widely accessible and less exclusive. It basically lost the amount of appeal it once had say 5-7 years ago. It still has appeal but just not as much. Its increase in price is icing on the cake. It used to cost 1/3 of the current cost to do PTS in an RS.

get it if you love it
I love orange with a vengeance. from car, to my furniture, wall paint, trash bin, jacket..... food... literally if you don't show up in orange in my office, it's unlikely you pass my interview.
all other colors... I don't give a damn.

I love orange too! And Gulf Orange was at the top of my list for a long time. I’ll echo all the other comments: I wouldn’t mind the limited non-PTS palette if they’d offer any other non-monochromatic option besides Guards Red. Any blue or green, and I’d choose it right away. The car looks good in any color, but we essentially can have either GR or grayscale.
Like some of the other folks, my allocation was technically eligible for PTS but when I submitted my choice it was denied. $21k is already crazy for a color choice but considering the demand continues to exceed the supply, the price will keep going up.

I want them to raise PTS pricing to 50k so people have to REALLY want it, and then add a few more colors to the 4k palate that are actually interesting and that they can easily do. Oak Green, maybe Aetna blue maybe Bahama yellow into that group and that would be stellar.
