Don't hold me to the numbers. My friend got one and was not a VIP. He was told all the 911Rs went to VIPs except maybe 8-10 lucky buyers in the US.

Today, from my factory cleaning lady when i asked if my UK PTS S/T slot was still safe:

"this applies for US costumers only. There is a stupid legal deadline by which all S/Ts have to be finished, that’s why we can’t build them for a longer time period, we have to get them done by that time or they are worthless and can’t be registered. Therefore we had to tell waiting costumers that are still waiting for a PTS slot confirmation, that unfortunately we cannot meet their demand. All confirmed PTS order worldwide are being built and will not be cancelled, no exceptions. Let me clarify: this deadline ONLY applies to the US and Canada and some small Middle East countries."

Also told me recently that in some S/T markets PTS will be less than 20% of production.

As they are all MY24 cars it likely introduces registration complexity if the car is built in 2025

My cleaning lady says DOT EPA they won't be legal for 2025. No details though on what part of the car compliance expires for though.

Green, but this matter is not colour specific, just PTS specific for mainly USA.

So if this being the case it would additionally impact the RS? If EPA isn't compliant it's either the tuning or exhaust. My bets tuning.

Not necessarily, it could be down to emissions and in that case, even though they use the same engine, the RS CO₂ emissions* combined (WLTP) 289 g/km, whereas the S/T CO₂ emissions* combined (WLTP) 305 g/km.

Odd... would've never thought the regular Touring was so much higher output than the others. I think we're both right. The tuning is a tad richer and the cats flow a tad better. Thanks for the information!

On a side note spoke with someone at a Cali store that sold ST to a Florida resident for $250k over. It's already here in the US loading for its journey coast to coast soon.

I think the reason the Touring has more emissions than GT3 is down to gearbox (GT3 comes with 7spd PDK standard and Touring comes with 6spd Manual standard, while each can be optioned the other way) and the S/T is Manual with lower gearing than Touring…

I can't find a baseline dyno anywhere for the 992 Touring. Fabspeed shows the Winged car to be 450 which is pdk so 20% is reasonable there. It's not all that uncommon for brands to tweak tuning and let's not forget VW diesel-gate so....

I just have a hard time seeing them do separate production runs for cats when tuning files are easy ways to turn up the wick. I mean if both making peak power at same rpm being same motor and all then how the power gets there shouldn't matter.

Found this and only reference to the bottom left figures.... and this is sheer speculation and not knowing what correction factor is 100% the Touring likely does have a higher baseline than the PDK GT3 winged car. Let's just assume you take away the headers and exhaust ok that's 470-480 baseline stock.
