You raise good points many of which I agree with. You have been a Porsche enthusiast for a very long time. What I found puzzling in your analysis claiming having a wing makes one look like a Putz. If I’m not mistaken many of your Porsches had wings.Change of opinion on winged cars?
Initially I didn’t understand the S/T. But after some thought I concluded the S/T provides the drama of a race car experience even though the car is not being tracked. You don’t need excessive speed to enjoy the car. I get that. I just question whether other Porsche models provide a similar experience but not as well.
Do you now own a 992GT3RS or have one on order?

yea, super long story with my 992 GT3 RS. My allocation arrived with initial allocation dump in late 2022. was a MY23, but kept getting bumped back and then turned into a MY24. It again continued to be delayed repeatedly. In the meantime after 2 years with my 992 GT3 I was ready for a change, so picked up a 4RS allocation to have another ED and a new toy to play with until 3RS arrived (whenever that eventually was), fully planning to trade it in for 3RS. But a funny thing happened, I really really adore the 4RS and honestly there is no way I could get rid of that lovely little car. It’s a riot! It’s an amazing car that provides such a memorable experience with every drive. Plus, I am a DE junky, and found that I really enjoy it on track as it’s a bit of a handful to hustle around vs the 992 GT cars which have become so good that you feel more like a passenger. I did ED with that car and hit Nurburgring, Spa, Red Bull Ring and really just fell in love with that little car. Since back I have been using it for DEs here in USA and it’s just a perfect car to be fast yet have fun.
Back to 3RS; with the delays mounting it became known that I would in fact be given an S/T, so rather than have 2 different 992s, felt it would be better to give a friend my 3RS allocation and just keep my 4RS. Honestly feel that 4RS and S/T are the perfect modern Porsche pairing for track fun and street fun. I am fan of having cars that provide differing driving experiences, so for modern Porsches I think this is the perfect lineup. Sorry for long response, but long story

Disden. Did you, do you or have you driven the 991R? I would also love to hear about those 2 in comparison from someone that actually drives their cars. I have a 918 friend who literally I think at one time had the most miles on his 918 and to this day he said if forced to sell every one of his cars (I think he is up to 10 - he doesn't flip or sell any) says the R would be the car he'd keep.

Just to see if you find the steering as hard as they say (personally, it suits me just fine, even on my bumpy mountain roads).

A breath of fresh air in here!
Now that we've seen a PTS S/T arrive in the US, how are most of our builds so far out? I'm no VIP but there are several in here that are and it seems their builds are months out as well. How did Hennessey Porsche get one so early?

As there seems to be a little more activity on the ST it would be interesting to track progress. As most of us know the original PMSVS has not been very accurate. My thought was to list cars ONCE THEY ARE COMPLETED and are on their way to Emden. At that point one could assume the car is now a few weeks out. This would help to gain a sense of actual cars produced for US.

A much needed temporary vacation
I believe we should see a lot more activity in the next 30-60 days
