Many pieces on a modern Porsche are painted separately from the supplier as part of the JIT system.
For example, on the 991 GT3RS, the magnesium roof comes pre-painted from the supplier in Korea.
The doors on the ST, I believe, are pre-painted as well from the supplier.

My contact at the factory told me the carbon doors are the main issue along with the wing(fender) parts. I would be extremely surprised if Porsche would build a car and paint it, then fit the doors later which of course would have to be painted separately. Apart from the hassle in doing that, in most colours it would result in mismatched colours under close inspection. The front fender part could be painted separately as it doesn't really join the body so minor mismatches would be hard to notice.

I was told that on non PTS cars (all models) that body and doors are all painted as one (seems obvious) and that bumpers and other body coloured trims are painted separately in colour batches and then married later down the production line. I was told that this does not apply to PTS cars though. With ths small fender piece issue i'm sure theyre making an exception, :-)

Anyone thinking of an aftermarket exhuast? I've had the Akra headers and center delete titanium system on my 991 Touring... sounded awesome but it was LOUD. Or for those who've heard the stock exhaust - sounds perfectly fine? Also my Akra exhaust dropped a reasonable amount of weight as well.

Yup, as expected, your car is missing the front fender carbon piece.
Many ST are produced missing either the door or the little front fender piece. On cars without the carbon doors, they are temporarily using a regular GT3 door to get the cars shifted through assembly. When the door actually arrives, they will swap out the doors.
