That $300k alone in dealer profit can net you a really really really nice car anywhere already.
Heck, find a 911R and save yourself 200k. or use that 200k to buy something else and you will ended up with a 911R plus another nice car or two, vs just a single ST.
There are twice as many ST as 911Rs.
100% agree. I just picked up at 20’ Huracan Evo with 3k miles for under $280k. That ADM is just stupid. Moreover, Lamborghini rolled out the red carpet for me for a used car purchase, while my Porsche dealer expected me to thank them for allowing me to buy a GT4RS with an ADM.
ADM will come down but there will be more flippers. The ADM profit will not just vanish as it is driven by demand. The profit will just just go to the hands of the first owners. I am not sure if it is better or worse.
Porsche could make everyone sign an agreement that they will not sell the vehicle for a specified period of time to dissuade flippers from buying. I would be fine signing an agreement not to sell for 2 years to get what I want at MSRP.

This is a requirement at my dealer now. When they gave me the GT3 allocation I had to agree that I would not sell for a year unless it went back to the dealership.
Besides the MSRP and availability issue let's get back to the actual design....
Why oh why couldn't they just take the Sport classic body, put in front wheel well vents, add a passive aero in the front with maybe the same front aero system and radiator setup as the 3rs and actually just let the car shine with out castration of everything that screams I'm a freaking monster.

I would have preferred the design with a fixed duck bill or even if they could reimagine the whale tail. I’m just not a fan of the 992 flappy wing. It looks odd when it’s up.

Cause your dealer wants that trade in profit also!
That's how much Ford put into a 300k Mustang GTD vs what did Porsche put into the S/T again?
Yup, they put all that in and it may be as fast as a base $186k 992 GT3 at the Ring, if that.
The performance that's built into the S/T is already proven in the lap times of the GT3 and GT3RS ... the S/T is just a non track focused vision of the latter.
The fact that a Mustang has to be that expensive and that trick to get to basic GT3 performance makes all the GT variants a bargain by comparison including the S/T, not the other way around.
Heck, that $300k total in dealer markup and profit can net you this:

I'm applying and have already spoken to the owner of the dealership I buy my Fords from. We'll see, but I'm optimistic from what we spoke about. They got me a Raptor R and also pulled some strings when my 2016 GT350's engine seized at 3,500 miles in getting me a new GT350, and not just an engine replacement. Even still, I'll be extremely fortunate to get a Mustang GTD. Rumors are that Ford/Multimatic will produce about 2,000 units.
