It looks great in Black but I’m biased as i have four Black cars. I don’t know what all the fuss is about caring for a Black car. I’ve owned my 911 for 35 years in Black with original paint. Easy to take care of especially if it’s garaged. Luckily there are choices.

I asked about that but a color from the 70s still has to be tested with modern paints on modern surfaces, apparently it’s almost irrelevant that it’s a historic color. The PTS+ process would take 12-18 months which would be longer than the ST production run.

I got this straight from JK at PCNA Exclusive.

Pfff, even if I paid for PTS+ “dirty car paint” to replicate dirt on a black car I’d still have it washed just as much as a dirty black car because I can’t have actual dirt on my dirty car paint.

But that might me a me thing.

I wanted a red originally; I first asked about carmine and the red from the heritage targa and both required feasibility. I was also warned feasibility could take longer then the production cycle of the ST.

I thought guards red would be a simple option as it’s on the 992 touring and 3RS and still was denied without feasibility.

I’m sticking with one of the standard pts colors. None of these colors are worth 50k to me either.

Agree completely. My 4RS is Black as well as my old 991RS WP. PPF in stone chip areas and Ceramic on all other surfaces make it a doddle to keep clean,

I ordered mine black with the cognac interior. In the pictures it looks great. Only got the PORSCHE decal not the gumdrop or numbers. Dealer thinks they can get me the car. They are waiting for their allocation but they are hopeful. I've bought 8 Porsches from them this year including having them find me a 2019 Speedster, so I believe they are trying. If it works I'll be grateful.

I kinda like the blue heritage launch color. This silver is also sexy.

Wow. I just checked the configurator. The ST is the first Porsche sports car I’ve ever seen in the last 15 years that didn’t have a free guards red color option.

That is total BS about a “feasibility study” for guards red and carmine red for the ST. Both colors have been used for decades on many Porsche models.

Some executive decided they didn’t want bright red ST cars out in the world.

the fact that they have so many options in brown and gray tells you what their priorities are.

shocking about guards red not being available as PTS- because Peru red is brown and Superior red is basically black with red sparkles.

pts has some really questionable colors and lots of them get picked often enough to stay in rotation ...and if people spec those colors I instantly reject any of their opinions about aesthetics.

stuff like: stone gray, peridot, sepia brown, peru red...sorry but you need help.

Yeah, get the whole car PPF'ed with ceramic coating and black will no longer be a job to keep clean.

Gemini also wasn’t on the 991 Speedster PTS list, which I found odd as it appeared on the 2RS which also had carbon panels. I had to switch my choice of colors last minute ish.

ST, SC, 911R, 4.0RS, Speedster - what an amazing choice last few years. The next special one - 70s Heritage?
