Are there separate allocations for wing and touring? I thought it’s one allocation and buyer can do either.

Separate. Not like 991.2 where it was an option to select "touring package' on a GT3 Allocation. Now they are tied to the model.

On the build sheets: Winged is model type 992810. Touring is model type 992820. So when you get leads on allocations showing the PSVMS screen shots, that is the model code legend.

For anyone interested: Just got offered a winged allocation March production for early April '22 delivery, with a $35K ADM. It is color locked and not able to be PTS so I am passing. However, it is configurable until early Feb. 2022. PM me if interested and I will provide the contact details. It is not mine and I have no skin in the game, just passing the opportunity along. is PTS still difficult to get like it was on the previous gen? I read they are trying to expand the program

No, it's just that based on this allocation's timeline PTS was not possible, the PTS window closed about 2-3 weeks ago for it, so if the dealer did not submit a build code with custom color selection and an actual PTS color selected, the PTS possibility went to waste and lapsed with a standard color selected instead. I don't know which one as I don't have access to the build, but whoever picks up the allocation will see all the details.

On my touring the above went the other way. I was offered at V200 slot with standard color. I countered for them to sort it out with PCNA and make the build PTS based on a week here and there from change freeze point. I closed the deal contingent upon the allocation being able to be PTS confirmed. By the time the dealer confirmed it had been made PTS available, I only had 1 day left for color selection. I had my build code for months so that was instantaneous, but the color, I spent a few hours playing around with the PTS selector only to go back to my original color idea. Sent it to the dealer same day and the next business day the slot locked. 8 days later I got my final build sheet at V215 Blocked by P.AG. and the next TYD update following that already started to show the delivery date of May 2022.

I suspect this allocation could have been PTS but based on when it locked, the dealer had to submit some form of code and just put in a standard color instead of custom color. That cannot be reversed unless you have some pull with PCNA.

It's less difficult than previously but still wouldn't call it easy to get. I have no data to back up this guess but based on this forum it appears roughly 20% of allocations are PTS.

I know of another Winged slot for $50k ADM, but you have to do European Delivery. It is PTS eligible. It may not be as good as the $35k JAB12 very kindly offered on this thread, but it's an actual allocation (compared to dealers putting you on lists at $50k with no slots). I have no skin in the game for this allocation either, and you're welcome to PM me. Also has a Touring for $75k.

Great question. As I understood it, dealers get an extra allocation for a "normal" car whenever you do ED (probably a Macan or Cayenne). This is to make-up for the ED fee dealers have to pay. (There might be other perks for the dealership of which I am not aware.)

Most are. This was an anomaly and I’m glad someone took advantage of the opportunity at that price. BTW Congrats on the new coach!
