I've noticed in late summer when I started to follow up on GT3/Touring allocations with a few Bay Area dealers, that two of them displayed used GT3 Tourings prominently in their showrooms. When I inquired about my chance for an allocation, I was given a lot of hot air, their scoop about their custom allocation system, a list of 20 who are willing to pay $100K+ ADM, yada, yada, yada....then I was generously offered the Touring on the floor to take home immediately for just under $300K - average specs. I haven't been back to either of them since then but have the suspicion they just put them there to set a reasonably high price expectation for the incoming ones....Interesting psychology: You see them in the showroom and think "Hey, if an old, used, previous model goes for THAT much, a new one must cost at least that, and I can sell them for that much more after a few years..." Suddenly a $100K ADM seems more reasonable, and you won't lose your pants on it...Interesting tactic. Don't know if the two cars actually moved at that price or if they were just used for marketing with no expectations to actually sell. Far off?

I bet you a lot of stealers are slow rolling their available open allocations out slowly to extract max $$$ out of buyers because the build isn't locking for a few more months (I still have about 2 months to make changes...but I wont). This is supply fixing at its finest.

‘Bingo, my neighbor continues to tell me they will build as much as capacity allows. He shakes his head at what people are paying, and he’s a Porsche executive which says a lot.

I wonder if the folks that pulled the production numbers for the 991.2 GT3/3RS/2RS can pull the can data so we can see how many cars have already been sold.

Unfortunately it’s much harder to pull build sheets this go around. ‘Was fun in the 991-era though!

Im not sure how accurate that really is, I asked my neighbor he said many people in Porsche don’t know the real number on GT cars. He said the jumble the numbers which I find interesting.

So here's the flip side of that. If none of them will sell the car for less, you're still ****ed if you want a car before 2023. I chatted with my SA about a shiny PTS gt4 they had on the floor (not for buying, I like the one I got). It was $40K ADM. We had a good laugh. Any bites ? No, he said, but also that they didn't care. It's nice to have around. Adds some color to the show room, fun talking point, ya know like this conversation. They fully intended to not care if it sold and keep it at $40K ADM. Demand is insane, they'll wait.

It sold 3 weeks later at $40K over. Let me know if you can walk into a dealer and get a gt4 allocation for delivery before 2023. Oh right. You can't.
At least with the gt3 there will be more allocations for MY23.

Looks like 2023 it is!! Not paying ridiculous $50-$100k over on a GT3, no way in Hades. Autotrader pricing on new/used 992 GT3s is upwards of $100k over the optioned MSRP. Completely ridiculous.

It's time to bring this market crashing down, baby!

Curious to hear opinions on how prices will/will not be affected by inflation? Recent reports say inflation rate at 8%. Does this make it's way to base prices eventually? Is it possible that folks paying ADMs on the current base price benefit from possible price increases? Of course would vary based on amount of ADM

This would be the first one that sold on this auction site. The previous Four went RNM.
