I’d call this the canary in the coal mine

you would have to be pretty desperate to
Have to sell your used car at a big big number and have 10-20k mean that much to you to cancel, melt 5k and back out of an auction, this to me says a lot about what’s going on

i genuinely feel bad for these people and say the things I say on this forum (financially rational) because an enthusiast spending way over what he can afford because he thinks he can make money and drive a super expensive car (heard this from countless people) because they get lied to by dealers and salespeople and buy into a dumb frenzy is to me….Fcked up

the little guy losing his shirt because he bought into hype is messed up

don’t want to ever turn something fun into a nightmare

to the people who can melt 100k and not care, by all means spend the big ADM and don’t care, as you shouldn’t.

Why do you constantly assume anyone who paid an ADM paid $75-100k? Those people exist but they are the exception. And likely wealthy enough not to care. And you definitely don't "genuinely feel bad" for those people - you clearly enjoy rubbing it in which is the entire purpose of your commentary.

I give you some credit though - you are committed and devoted to your talking points and are willing to ride them into the ground in a very public manor. You should consider running for Congress - you'd probably be successful for a cycle or two.

The Bahama Yellow GT3:

I wonder how many points the dealer tacked on to the lease rate if any, to get their ADM.

Maybe you should set up a GoFundMe to take care of these poor people, since you seem to care so much.

He's like those guys who have been calling for a recession or stock market crash for the last 3 years, only for it not to happen while he's sidelined, he continues to call for it, market finally corrects 3-5 years after he said it would..."see I told you guys" and think he was right all along. Meanwhile the 992.2's will have been out for a year or 2 and the 992.1 cars will be 5+ years old LOL all the while assuming every person paid $100k ADM for their 992.1

It's coming, watch

What's even more ridiculous is we're 5 years out from the 991.2 and the last winged 6spd car to hammer on BaT was $35k over MSRP with 3,300 miles and the last touring to hammer was a stripper spec that went for like $77k over MSRP with 4,200 miles.

Don’t forget inflation in these discussions. It was about 20% over the past three years. If a car didn’t increase in price to match inflation, it did lose value. But it may have done better than cash.
