Yes sir, I've that car for almost 6 years (longest that I've owned any car in my life). That was going to be the only car that I was willing to give up my 1-of-1 PTS 997.2 GT3RS and I'm glad I did.
Respectfully, thats like saying SMG is also a manual. These are all hyped up automatics. A manual is a manual.
I'm not arguing only expressing a different view point.
Even though I have a Porsche manual 6 speed on order I still respect and own a PDK. I always think of the PDK as a better manual transmission than the conventional old manuals that have been around for 100 years.
However, the PDK can operate in an automated mode if desired.
Reasons:
No clutch pedal, yet there are 2 clutches (wet clutches).
No need to lift off the gas pedal while shifting.
Quicker acceleration with the PDK even for a professional driver.
No torque convertor in a PDK.
No automatic transmission fluid in a PDK transmission.
The PDK gears run in manual transmission oil.
Neither one of those is equipped with PCCBs or LWBs. Considering how much I spent on my MY2024 GT3T (with a higher spec) it appears I didn't do too shabby.
