Skimpy? There was over 4 pounds of meat there along with the sides and even though the 4 of us put down a lot of food, but there were still leftovers. I was stuffed after lunch and didn't eat anything else the rest of the day.

Guys, just admit it (to yourselves): you're jealous of usctrojan.

Got a text today from my GM offering me a 992 GT3 allocation (MSRP). So obviously there are still some allocations being released. I'm going to take the allocation, but am kind of annoyed that Porsche (not the dealer) having been jerking everyone around by saying no more allocations, but then there are more allocations. I feel like it's a game to create a feeling of scarcity.

Not to mention that now you have to pay the $14k price increase for MY24.

Yeah, not happy about that either. But I shouldn't complain, should be happy to get MSRP allocation at a time when demand is still much higher than supply (that could change if the economy slows a lot, which I think it more likely than not).

I think you should pass on the allocation and wait for the economy to continue slowing as there will be better deals available. Also, it seems like you're upset with the way the dealer obtained this allocation, so possibly pass it on to someone else? May I ask what dealer?

I don't think prices will drop below MSRP on new GT cars, so this is the best deal I can expect to get. And as I've said before, I think the car is worth MSRP (even after the price increase), but not worth a big ADM (to me).

What I'm upset about is Porsche telling the dealers there will be no more allocations in no uncertain terms, then releasing more allocations. If I had known there would be more 992.1 allocations, I would have waited to get mine rather than taking the path I did with car purchases. I don't blame the dealers for this, this is all PAG playing games with perception of supply and keeping dealers and customers in the dark.

I'd rather not name the dealer, but my dealer sells GT cars (at MSRP) only to repeat customers, and they don't do ADM on these cars. I've bought a lot of cars from this dealership over the past decade, so I didn't just wander in and get an MSRP allocation. Think of it as 'usctrojan lite'.

I have a feeling that more allocations will be coming out, so those who think they missed out shouldn't give up hope of getting one, and won't necessarily have to pay a big ADM to get one. I think Porsche is realizing that demand is staying high enough that they can make more cars and more profit, rather than way undersupplying the demand and letting surplus profit go to dealers and flippers.

Will be interesting to see how all of this may change if/when the economy tanks.

Are you bringing them brisket or beef ribs though? Terry Blacks is the best.
