there aren't any near term allocations for a Turbo S. If you want one now, you gotta pay. Same supply issues as the gt3 and ... pretty much everything at the moment.

I keep hearing guys say that lumber has come down a bunch, but remember, those are futures. Lumber is still high in the store and will be for awhile until they get rid of their overpriced inventory. They are always quick to raise prices, but very slow to lower them. DAMHIK.

The amazing thing is that my understanding is the typical markup for a 911 is around 12.5% from invoice which is around $31k of profit for the dealer from MSRP on a $250,000 turbo S. Thus with decreased supply they are trying to make enough profit on one car to stay profitable as when supply was plentiful. That said in the past Turbo S were sitting on many lots for months and it wad easy to get discounts on them. Ie My past two TTS (991.1 and 991.2) I got heavy discounts on 7-10% and even got a little off (1.5%) my my custom built 992 turbo S last fall.

I know of a few 992 Touring spots that went for $100k ADM - which I think is crazy but at the same time these cars just wont price at or near where the 991.2 Touring's are. So its not crazy to see how they slot above the $225-250k 991.2 prices.

The beta testers will always pay the highest ADMs.

NorCal you are looking at $50k-75k with prior history. With none, closer to $100k. All dealers in the areas have folks ready and waiting.

Of course they did, they know that there are a lot of desperate buyers who are willing to pay hefty ADMs and there's a lack of allocations so they'll wait. As time goes along, more cars will come and there will be less desperate buyers so ADMs will come down.

I'm not sure how it compares to others on the market or spots that have transacted, but I have a friend that wants $75k over for his buildable allocation.

Thanks. To clarify, I'm not looking for an allocation. Trying to get a sense of whether I should move my existing allocation (early build touring), my 991.2 (which I love), or just hold tight until the 992 touring arrives and make a final decision then (most likely).

Giving up potential tax savings of the trade if I go the final route but I don't want to have any regrets, as I plan on keeping the winning car for a long time. Nothing for certainty like driving them both back to back.
