Talk about GTS, same car popped up again on CarMax. This time in Fremont CA. SF Bay Area guys. I wonder what happened to the hold. Forgot the name of the member here who had it on hold.
Edit: Kunzjob?

I just talked to Carmax in Fremont about a hold on it, but it's already on hold for someone else.

Is this going to be the GTS version of the Lime Gold CarMax?

I called Carmax at 9:15 this morning and the car was already on hold for someone, they're looking at it now. I'm next in line, or so they say to see it, if this person doesn't buy it. I'm really interested in a 991.1 but the price seems too good to be true on this GTS. I'm not holding my breath on this one, even if they call and say it's still available and come see it. It's non transferable in Fremont. Anyone know why some cars are non transferable at Carmax?

I was a nice build, but SO rough. I felt really sorry for the car, it had been beaten bad for all its 25k miles.
Sad to see.

First off, I wanted to give a huge shoutout and thanks to a few members here. I’ve been lurking for years and finally decided to pull the trigger on my first Porsche. This thread has provided me hours and hours of research, knowledge, and fun to help with my search. Specifically @STG for starting the thread, @visitador for posting the car I eventually bought, and for @NorCalJCO for reserving and checking the car out before me then giving me first hand knowledge of it. I did purchase the GTS today from CarMax. It was originally down in SoCal and listed as no transfer available. However, after talking to them, I was able to have them transfer it up to the Bay Area for me to see. It took a few days to get here and a few more for me to move money around but today we finalized the deal. I’ll start my own thread at some point and post more pics. For now- thanks again and smiles to everyone!

Nicely done!
As i understand it, the 'no transfer' restrictions is usually because of electronic titles, and they restrict out-of-state sales until they receive the paper title (by which time it is usually sold), so not surprised they were willing to transfer it in-state.
