Three Wheelin'
To all who think they won't like the MF steering wheel- I'd recommend taking another look.
a few pages back you can find my posts with the very same concerns you all are posting about. But after having the car for a month now, I actually LIKE the wheeel. Mine is in carbon fiber which helps, but the controls are nice to have all close and the paddle shifts are just as fun.
i guess what I'm saying- don't knock it until you try it . And if it's the only thing holding you off from a purchase...then you might not be ready to purchase.

I had the base wheel and hated it; I installed an SD wheel less than a week after buying my 911 and love it. I drive in manual mode 99% of the time and just leave a classical radio station on, so paddles > MF for me.

Definitely a good buy. 50% off MSRP at 5 years old is generally my back of the envelope target for a used 911. This one seems almost too good with such low miles. I'm a paranoid buyer, so I'd do a paint meter to be sure this isn't too good to be true.

Turns out the car, which was owned by a gentleman who has a rather nice collection, pre-traded this one and another (RS5) towards a 2017 GTS.
The information I gleened from the HFS posts gave me a sense for the market and uniqueness of the build. Appreciate the help from all who post regularly on HFS.

I've had both wheels. We had a SD on our base 3.4L car and now the CF MF wheel in the GTS. Both are great and I love the paddles but the CF and controls make the car just a little better to me.
You also can order Techart paddles to fit to the MF wheel. I'm considering it and it may be a fun project in the future.

They also sell steering wheels that are MF and paddles.

I have this wheel in black. No paddles (poor verbiage) but buttons.

Just saw your post after I posted mine. If you do it yourself would love to know how it goes. I am tempted but concerned about airbag

Newbie looking for 1st Porsche (991)
I am new here and hoping to purchase a 991 as my first Porsche. This thread is great! I have read quite a bit and watch some you tube videos just to try to get a little more knowledgeable; my apologies in advance for posting something already discussed. Here is a car that I would to look at a little closer. The problem is I'm in the upper Midwest. Anyone in Southern California willing to help me car shop? Me... I'm a 40 y/o physician with a 6 and a 3 y/o. The 911 would be my daily driver. I like the white coupes. Do not mind the PDKs. Actually, I need that in case my wife needs to drive for emergencies. The bigger "S" engine is a plus. CPO would be nice but if I find a decent car for a nice bargain, I could leave money aside as "insurance" for wear and tear. This one has high mileage but fits the bill for what I want. Even seems to have the sport Exhausts. Any help is welcome.
Cheers, Fafs.

The other guys can comment. I'm too tired to think.
Would be nice to see CarFax too on maintenance history.
Good price point though for a 991.1 C2S
What state in "upper Midwest"?
