I agree, very nicely optioned! Price is not too bad, either. I would be curious about the service history - check to see if the 4 year service was done.

It's the mechanic who works on my race car so I "semi" trust him

Base, 30k miles, $111k MSRP, and no warranty? I would not bid more than $55k.

A quick search on the locator, and I found a similar CPO for $59.9k: http://locator.porsche.com/ipl-custo...a0c1df&url=usa

I've heard nothing but good things about Intersport...probably mostly from folks like you!

If you can get it for 62k or lower, it's a great deal.

That one has the Burmester - which is nice, of course, but drives the original MSRP of that one up a lot, sacrificing other options that the Intersport one has.

Intersport never seems to be very cheap but their cars seem to be very clean/well maintained. Maybe he can get a few grand off asking. For a base model cab, it was still equipped very nicely.

Wow! That puts it in perspective. Base Cabs of come down a lot since I was searching.

Sometimes it isn't caught on the new inventory inspection or the wear crosses the threshold after it's in their inventory, but if you point it out and it really is out of spec, I don't think it's a hassle to get them to fix it.

Very low emotion or ego in carmax transactions... "These are our cars, these are our prices, these are our policies, happy if you buy it, happy if you don't..." I just wish they took better care of cars in their inventory!
so true. I worked at the Carmax Norcross store in the mid 90's right after they opened. It was a new business model and I was shocked at the number of shoppers. It was nonstop.

When I worked there you made the most on the warranty. No negotiating, no freebies. This is the price and total costs to buy. Many people liked it because in the end the cars were solid cars. I remember selling a porsche, honda and a toyota supra all in one weekend once.

Ended up getting fired because I would take friends out for test drives and someone squealed.

Would not pay over $60K with that mileage and no CPO. That's being very generous to the seller too. Nice looking car though.

I'd personally be happy with $57-59K

^This is why I could never work at a Porsche dealership. I'd be driving the cars all the time.

It is impossible to get an apples-to-apples comparison, but I don't think it is a good deal unless the car is pristine.

Here is a more similar '13 CPO for about the same price: http://locator.porsche.com/ipl-custo...1c1f94&url=usa

I've seen prices on 2012.5's and 13's very close on many cars with similar mileage, which I thought was odd (I thought that the one year difference would have lead to a more substantial discounts on 2012.5's). Not sure if that is still the case, but just something I noted over this past year while looking.

Here's a similar one, no CPO, at CARMAX for $64k, with significantly more mileage (46k miles). Not saying you couldn't get the Intersport one for less than their asking (he probably could get a couple of grand off asking), but that it does seem fairly priced.

https://www.carmax.com/car/13898714

But you are right, of course - definitely not an apples to apples comparison. A lot of other factors to consider and no two cars (or even markets) are exactly alike. And I would be willing to pay a little more for a clean, lower mileage car when possible.

This is a great discussion - gives folks looking some perspectives on what other dealer are out there. Cheers!
