If there is good documentation on the accident and repairs, I'd agree with this.

Without documentation, or only a verbal history of what happened to the car, and they can often be difficult to sell even at a reduced price. Far more so than any other brand vehicle except perhaps Ferrari...

That would be an interesting study. The depreciation curve flattens over time and sometimes reverses depending on desirability. I wonder if cars with accident histories flatten at the same rate or there is still some residual penalty, however small, after the initial accident hit.

The hit is taken the first transaction after the accident. Or the buyer is ignorant. Proportionately it won't be any different and would likely depreciate less moving forward - especially if records are kept and maintenance done in good order. But this is no different than an accident free car. You could also dispute on car fax with a 50/50 chance of getting removed. I did this on my last car and they were great to work with and had a well defined process.

I've often thought that if you want to build a track car, find one with a well-documented minor accident history and save some dough.

I believe that to be true but it would be an interesting study to see what the effect is. Sorry for going way off topic.

I wouldn't hesitate after inspection... and would justify the savings as reason for sport bumper

^Racing Yellow is the BEST

Bad VIN? I tried to pull the build sheet, but "This vehicle is not available" popped up.

CarFax mileage matches though. Sometimes builds don't pull once in a great while.

That's the "hold on tight" ****.

Was an option for Speed Yellow cars at one point.
