Car looks amazing with the changes. Nice job!

A few customized options can truly make a car to your liking, even when buying used. A nice example of a great looking two tone interior too.

Default Hot for sale pick of the week!!

People have been wondering about 991.1 prices with the 991.2 on the horizon.

You should see normal depreciation on the 991.1 going forward. Obviously nobody can predict the future, but the "mass 911" buyers want the latest and greatest and the 991.1 will be an older model and depreciate accordingly.

Could there be an appreciation for the NA engine in the future and some "special" 991.1's slowly start to appreciate?? Maybe in 10-20yrs. Sure. Who knows.

As for now, unless the 991.2 is a complete disaster (not likely!), the 991.1's should be business as usual. Keep in mind after year 3 or so, the depreciation slows down quite a bit compared to the first 3 years. The 991.1's will find a happy bottom price at some point and hold steady I'm guessing. I don't think you'll see ones with low mileage ever hit less than 50% of MSRP.

Buy the car you want at the price you're willing to spend. Have fun, and remember cars are a depreciating asset (most of the time). If you're looking to invest your money and gain a return, stay away from cars!

The best value out there is buying used. Look at the MSRP's of cars I've listed above with being 1-3 yrs. old and less than 10K miles. You're seeing 30K+ off sticker. And that's what the dealer is asking with CPO warranties. Imagine what the owners got for them.

No need to buy into the marketing latest/greatest frenzy. You see comments from people saying the 991.1 already looks "dated". Well, last week it was fine, but now with a new website and 991.2 it's yesterday's news? To a point, time always moves forward and yes cars age.

Just don't buy into any hype. After all, car companies are chasing sales every quarter. They find ways to always sell new cars. First will come the S, then the 4S, followed later by the real Turbo, then the Targa, then a GTS. Always a reason to upgrade and feed next quarters sales projections. At some point it's probably good to "upgrade" as we've all done. I'm just saying, you don't always need to be first in line.

The 991.1 is a great car as is the model before it (997.2) You can find a great car to have a blast in for a decent price if you have better things to do with that initial big depreciation hit. Some guys always buy new and dump the car after 1-2 years. That's fine too. It's their money. Just gives guys looking for a decent deal an opportunity at a car that's "new" for them.

Happy car hunting!!

<br/>A funny spin on this. Some of you guys may get it!

STG911-
great sound advice. In fact so good that I am seriously considering letting my Targa GTS allocation go and just continue with my Macan for the next 2-3 years then see if I can pick one up later.

Either of those two 4S cars appeal to you? Both have been for sale a while. Might give you a little leverage with negotiations.
