Congrats! Great find and very happy for you.
Inspiration is what this thread is all about. No way every car for sale can be featured with everyone's diverse tastes, but gives potential buyers an idea of what's out there.
With the web, it's easy for anyone to do their custom searches. It's easy shopping for a car nationwide, and with great enclosed or open transport companies having it shipped to your door. You can have a car shipped across the country in an enclosed trailer for around 2K.
There are so many options, prices, and combinations to these cars, you cannot limit yourself to a small geographic area. I found my preowned 991S 6 hours away from home.
A custom new build isn't in the cards for everyone. Finding great preowned cars at 20-40K off sticker with 3K-20K miles on average is also a great option.
The 991.1 came out in 2012.5 and hasn't changed through the 2015's except for a few available options. The 991.1 is last of the NA engines. A special generation indeed.
Enjoy your new car!! Beautiful and thanks for sharing.
Let's hear some more stories guys! Too many lurkers on here and not enough posters

My story is I wish I found this thread sooner! I bought a '14 CPO C2 Cab with 5k miles and paid $92k. I now really want either an S cab or GTS cab. I'll flip it in about six months and will watch this thread religiously to find her!
Thanks for taking the time to keep this thread active!

Thanks STG991. I agree with these statements 100%. The availability of pre-owned 991s are very limited (compared to other cars like BMW or MB) and finding one with the options, color choices, mileage, and price you're looking for makes it that much harder.
I started searching 3 months ago for my car (limited to cars in Northern California) and it wasn't until I found this thread three weeks did my search become a lot easier with many more cars that met my criteria (including many great ones posted in this thread). Fast forward to the long fourth of July weekend when I flew out to Cary, North Carolina to visit Leith Porsche so I could check out the car I eventually bought. Shipping was $2,000 in a closed-carrier.
Thanks again for creating and constantly updating this thread, STG991!

So you just found this thread 3 weeks ago?
You did awesome on your find. 41K off sticker for only 10K miles.
Car looks in awesome shape too from the pics.
This thread now has 33K views. Wow.
Keep us posted once you get it delivered. There are a few other guys here with some new preowned acquisitions who we'll be hearing from soon too. A few other nice cars!

Yup. Found this thread about a week after joining rennlist.
Thanks! I noticed that a number of your posts were from cars.com so I simply saved a search query with very specific filters on cars.com, then I'd log in to cars.com 3-4 times per day, run the search, sort by newly listed vehicles... and voila! Before long, the car was posted and I quickly contacted the dealer before they even had a chance to post photos of the car. After receiving photos of the car from the salesperson I spoke to, I gave a serious offer over the phone $3,000 off their $82,995 asking price (which I felt was very reasonable) but we settled at $80,800.
Will post an update once I receive the car (sadly, I'm going to be out of town for a few days starting on the expected delivery date (this Wednesday!) so my wife will have to perform the thorough delivery inspections).

Brett Payne @ Sonnen has 3 GTS Cabs in stock right now ... strike now while they are available.
