This car seemed to be in very nice condition! No paint work that I could tell and the front bumper had very few and only minor marks. They are getting a lot of activity on it and seem to think it won't last long.
Seems like it's priced to sell without much room to probably negotiate. Maybe $2-$3K. The smart dealers don't over inflate asking prices to be $10K over the market. They could have easily priced this $83K
2015 GTS with less than 1K miles. Listed at $16K off sticker WITH a CPO. Shave some more $$ off with an offer. PDK with wheel lug bolts instead of center locks (better in many instances).
It's not a "4 GTS" like listed on their website title by accident.
Asking $117K / MSRP $133K
If looking for a GTS, there are deals out there. Will obviously get better in the next 6-12 months as more start selling.
I heard that several times. Other than requiring a specific adapter, what are the disadvantages of center locks?
Just the pain in the *** for taking wheels on/off. Need a specific wrench. Pretty much requires a dealer to do them. Many tire shops don't have the wrench either. Look cool, but more high maintenance. No performance benefit either.
This car has been listed for months here in the SF Bay Area with the asking price dropping about $2k over the last month or so alone. I recognize the ad because they all say "...ONE OF THE HIGHEST MSRPS YOU WILL EVER SEE FOR THIS MODEL AT $123,845!" I inquired about the damage and was told it "wasn't bad and completely repaired". Though the seller didn't have specific details on extent of damage, so a PPI is a must. I thought this had a salvage title too, but didn't see it noted on the Carfax.
I almost went to go look at it, with my trusty Durametric cable and laptop, but in the end decided it wasn't worth the risk. Plus I expect to sell it one day so I can buy a newer 911 and that accident record will always be there, forever impacting the resale value.
That said, I agree with others that it's very well a chance the repairs were more cosmetic, however this car has been on the market for a long time so I'm sure if it was that good a deal it would be sold by now.
Like another poster suggested, rear damage on a rear engine 911 is very different than rear damage on any other car. The fact it was towed and "damaged" in multiple places would make me stay away...

my '10 GT3 has center locks as does my GTS; they are not as simple as 5-lug,
the car comes with the necessary CL nut tool, so all you need in addition is
the appropriate (and large) torque wrench (and breaker bar) in order to torque
them 2 600nm or 444ft/lbs.
There is also a procedure that you must follow when installing the rims, where you cannot have the wheel being torqued on the ground, it must be unloaded, and you torque it to 600, then back it off again (as I recall 60 degrees) and then
re-torque.
Its also important to ensure that the safety interlock is properly engaged ...
in short ... its a PITA and you probably dont want an independent tire shop doing this ... its down to you (who cares about getting it right) or your
friendly dealership - who should also care, if they want you as a repeat
customer ...
the other benefits ... h'mmm ... ponder ponder ponder ...
If you track your car a lot, and you switch rims from track to street I'd say
that unless you have your own big rig and mechs CLs are not really ideal
for that application...
but hey ... they are seriously cool! - chicks dig that sh*t big time especially
the size of your torque wrench!
Larry -- isn't there something with grease too?? I recall complaints about it getting all over people's hands, etc. if not careful?
Someone asked me a question on whether 5 lugs would be a negative on resale for a GTS. I don't believe so. Throw on a nice set of wheels, and nobody will notice!

Doh thanks for reminding me, YES, you need a tube of Castrol Optimoly lube and some nice latex gloves (now bend over and grab your buttocks please Mr Cable...) as you have to re-lubricate the friction surface of the CL bolt and the
threads of the CL hub prior to reattachment!
I honestly doubt that anyone would *seriously* care if a GTS were CL or 5-lug unless they were in love with the GTS wheel design ... I got them well because
I'm a sado-masochist!
That thing is actually well equipped. Apart from the obvious it has Bose and SC, MF steering wheel, and 14-way ventilated seats.
I just wonder what the 2014 buyer lost. Went $116,000 to $77,000
/grrr
Yeah, one of the things I've learned from this thread is to not buy one new unless it's a long term keeper.
$39000 in depreciation over 8k miles. Eesh.
This would be a car I'd break my no black rule on.

+1
not usually a fan or either black cars or "beige" interiors ... but this is a nice car!
