For anyone interested in this one, when I was looking for my car back in early August they posted this one for around 92K. They ended up lowering the price after it sat for a bit to $88,995. I offered them 81.5K but they stated they had 88K in the car including the CPO so they weren't willing to take my offer at that time. It's been sitting for a couple of months more now so maybe they would be more willing to deal.

Nice to know. So much for 88K in the car. Down to 86K now. For someone looking, I'd offer 83K or wait.
Hope things are going well with your new car! It's a beauty!
Industry term for rebates provided by the manufacturer to the dealer to help the dealer move cars. It is the dealer that decides to pass along some, all or none of the trunk money when setting a price for a car.

This is a perfect situation where you can see nice discounts on 2015's which there are ALOT out there. The discounting is starting to pop up.
The cars aren't moving fast enough at discounts that dealers can offer. PCNA (Porsche Cars North America) says hey, move the 2015's and we'll offer you "trunk money" which is an additional $$$ kickback to the dealer on these cars. With this kickback they're able to discount them further. Why you can see 10-15% off sticker prices on some new cars. Happens with all car companies. That's why "dealer cost" isn't always accurate.
Want a 2014 or 2015 991 Turbo or Turbo S? Lots out there! Decent discounts can be had % wise if you look around. Seen a few nice ones at 14-17% off sticker. They're just not moving off showroom floors quickly. Nice cars, but slowed down. When they first came out they were hot, but many of the guys spending that $$$$ have now moved to the GT cars hence why I believe the slowdown.
If you guys see any, post them! I spotted that GT Silver one above just because the asking price seemed lower than MSRP. They already have slashed the price.
** as a side note. The 991 GTS's are pretty much the only street 911's selling well new. Don't expect to find big discounts on those. Not that many out there. The last street NA 911! If you can find any open allocations at any discount, I'd take it! So far inquiries on the 991.2's has been very very low at dealers. Most all calls are looking for GT cars!
As with the above comments on the 2015's, the discounts aren't too plentiful. I don't want to make it sound that way. You have to be real flexible on options and search. Make some aggressive offers on an S model out there.
This is a unique situation where the GTS came out in 2015 and pretty much took over 911 sales. The other models sat, 2016's came in, and now they want to move cars in anticipation of the 991.2's.
Why we usually stick to pre-owned here! That's where the real deals are. Just giving some options out there if you guys are having trouble finding the right car.
