Yes, the airbag replacement is odd... I'll have to do some more research on that. I'll go take a look at it though.

i would not pay anymore than 65k or so for a non S coupe regardless of build. There starting to pop up regularly down in the 60's, and if depreciation is running 1k a month or so they will likely be in the 50's by spring particularly if the economy/markets stumble. The cpo obviously adds value, but cars aren't exactly jumping off dealer lots. Sports car market is still somewhat select and lots of options. S models are pretty consistently in the 70's.

So I found an amazing car just listed. Looking into it, noticed a front accident involving the bumper, fender, and hood. Not quite sure how serious. Looks minor. An amazing build, CPO, and only 6K miles. 2014 991S. Seriously, I'd be tempted upon inspection of it. Just thought I'd pass along. Quite unique situation. $55K off sticker with 6K miles and a CPO!

Asking $86K with 6K miles and a CPO warranty.

I think this car was just for sale there a little while back? What a nice build though.

Agreed. Lease returns are rolling in. The CEO of Autonation mentioned a "glut of luxury cars" building up in inventory during their last earnings call. Market is likely to be soft in the near term.

Look at the articles I posted a day ago. Tons of cars coming off lease the next two years.

Found this on Craigslist, 2014 C4S Cab with 22k miles with $136k sticker asking $88k. Spoke with sales guy who said they bought a Honda dealership and this was the car the CEO was driving, so it was transferred to them as part of the inventory. They want it gone and sounded like they're willing to come down on price, probably by a lot.

Is it on a dealership website? Why on Craigslist then? Seems fishy. Beware. Craigslist is a scamming cesspool.

This year will be a massive off lease year.

2 things are going to happen, market is plenty of inventory, however the values are going to stay high, due to low rates and 96 month financing (96 month GAP is on the way).

Factories are going to lower residuals and raise money factors (higher lease payments), however that will hit later in the year, 17 models I suspect. Same forecast for 17 and chances it will pop in 18 with a massive wave of off lease (for the industry as a whole).

Porsche does a 29 month lease as their sweet spot, so the big flood will be next year with a record year for Porsche, with the big help of leasing.

#1 advice for an industry insider, always lease new and decide to buy it at the end of the lease or always buy pre-owned.

#2 Never pay cash (on new, do a 1 pay lease, it's a deal). If you want to stroke a check, still finance it, buy GAP and after 2 years pay it off. If it get's totaled out, you are safe and put your cash in the hands of the insurance company.

I will get some more detailed info on this bubble and values at the NADA conference in March.

Talked with the sales guy and he said they will go to $83k "bottom line" but I'm pretty sure they would take $80k if someone offered it. They said it's a Ken Garff Honda dealer and they just don't need it in the showroom since nobody's coming in to a Honda dealer to buy a $90k used car. I have no affiliation with this, just passing along the deal since it doesn't have PSE and full leather like I'm looking for. The sales guy's name is David and cell number is 714-791-6588 if anyone wants to check it out. Here's the full email response they sent me last night:

"Thank you for your interest I will give you a brief history we are Ken Garff automotive group we took over a Honda dealership in Long Beach this car was driven by the previous CEO and was sold to us as part of the inventory car has a clean history with no accidents or damage you can contact me direct on my cell phone at 714-791-6588 thank you"

Worth investigating for someone looking for a cab C4S...

I'm still suspicious. I'll follow up on this.... My BS radar is going off. Maybe I'm wrong? We'll see.

Chances are its an enterprising young sales person put it on CL, not an official ad by the dealership.

Anyway. Found this:

http://www.kengarff.com/blog/video/2...cfc20e859.htm#

http://www.longbeachhonda.com/used/P...0cfc20e859.htm

I'd call this dealership directly instead of responding to an anonymous Craigslist ad. I'm sure the dealership can confirm.

Car was sold at an auction 8/2015

http://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory...&partner=GAZ_0

Not sure about "David's" story about the CEO's car. Was leased and bought @ auction. Just don't PayPal David a deposit!
