are the any nearby comps you can use to leverage the price lower? If not, try 100 and see what their response is. If this is your unicorn, move quickly.

I negotiated down to, what I thought was very reasonable, 79k. It has full leather...everything with deviated yellow stitching and is a CPO. I know market is inflated, but pricing on this car didn't seem high to me, with all the options. Best of all, the car was 35 miles from my home.

I started out thinking I had to have a 16 4s, manual and after driving this car, I bought it on the spot. I can say that Porsche Marin is a good selling dealer. They are honorable and even followed up with replacing the left headlight that had microfractures, that someone attempted to remove leaving swirl marks. They said they would take care of it, even if Porsche didn't.

I'm glad I didn't deliberate longer than a few minutes, another guy showed up just after I committed. He said he had missed several cars by just a few minutes.

I agree, there's more to getting a great deal. If the dealer sucks, if the car is a compromise, you'll sell it off in short order and lose TTL anyway.

Good luck.
That was definitely not the car Im quite certain that I was looking for but $87k is reasonable price for that car with nearly 20k miles. Love that color though. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, No the color combo isn’t readily available. I’m ok with other kinds of blue with a light interior but the 17-18 market is drying up fast. I’m thinking I’ll wait on the bubble to pop but who knows when that will be with the current stop sale limiting inventory in general. I’ll attempt the lower offer and see if we can meet in the middle. Wish me luck I have an appointment Tuesday.

Exactly why I didn't sell mine when I had the opportunity.

Before whining about the price maybe check out how much your portfolio has grown since the last 6 mon first?

On the flip side, I just sold my 981 for 15% more than I paid for it a year ago. I consider that a win and it makes the wait a little more palatable.

Good luck!
I too have started looking at high mileage 991.1s and it seems the market is in a weird state of flux. Any recommendations for high mileage ownership? I was looking to do as much of my own service as possible to avoid dealership costs.

Seriously, I'm in the market for a used 991.1 manual and it's incredibly difficult. Finally found one and the pricing is ridiculous. Trying to see if I can negotiate it down.

You guys are arguing over .1 vs .2 but what’s missing from the above analysis may be consideration of the 992. I am an example...I owned a 1984 911 many years ago and finally recently bought a very low mi 991 vs new because I actually I prefer the 991 to the 992; and the price - higher cost for the same spec combined with depreciation. Also, the 992 base MT is not available, further increasing used MT demand/value. My C2S spec new is $140K+.

Than take a look at how weak is the USD. Others in this thread were talking about watches prices going up, the weak USD also contributed to that. After all Porsche is EU based and most watches company also EU.

I just bought a 2012 991.1 Carrera S Cab PDK with 48k miles, one owner, clean carfax, Techart spoiler and EFI exhaust (121k msrp) for $60k. Had to buy sight unseen (had a ppi, clean except serpentine belt, dealer paid to replace). I also looked at a base model locally w/chrono for similar price but it was beat to hell and dealer refused my low ball offer of $55k plus they fix all mechanicals.

They are out there if you look.

PS Love my new 991.

This was actually a consolidation for me, sold my 07' 997 and my 16 BMW 650i to buy this.

This is what keeps me from selling my highly optioned 2015 C4S w/19,000 miles.

IMO any 991 is a keeper. I had been thinking about another 911 since my ‘84. Fell in love with the 991 and not interested in the 992 (could have bought one). So, I had been waiting for 3 decades and honestly feel the 991 is the perfect 911 for me. I especially love and prefer the cockpit, tech-balance, lines, and dimensions to the newer car.

This is true. I've always been the type of owner that changes cars often, always chasing something better, faster, sportier, etc. I do miss the analog feeling of my 997 (sold) over my 991, and I've always been curious about a MT GT3, but there's not much difference for me to pull the trigger. I see myself keeping the 991 forever, it feels like the perfect balance for me.

I now have a kid who will be going to college to study to Aerospace Engineering... That will be my next investment.
