Anyway, congrats! I for one think it's a great buy. It's tough to go wrong on any of these cars, but a .1 GTS manual Cab is pretty damn special.
They CPO through range 3. 4 and above, no dice.

This is true, but upon further review, they can even CPO range 4 and higher apparently as long as it happened at least 200 operating hours ago.

This is the best I could find as far as what the Internet has to offer to COMPREHENSIVELY explain DME reports, although it is Metzger engine specific. Should apply equally to 991s though.

Cranky Bob Zzzz aside, we need to bring this thread back on topic. For fun, I got a quote from Vroom, which came back at $80k.
Checking cars.com there are only 10 GTS coupes half of which have higher mileage than mine. I'm at 16k.

Here is my optional equipment list (2015):
Racing Yellow
Leather Interior in Black
PASM
PDK
20" Carrera S Wheels
Luggage Net in Passenger Footwell
Smoking Package
ParkAssist
Sunroof
PSP
Deletion of Alcantara
Sport Chrono clock in Racing Yellow
Rear Fascia Painted
PCM Display Surround Painted
Interior Package painted i.c.w. Leather Interior
Pedals and Footrest in Aluminum
Premium Package Plus w/Adaptive Sports Seat Plus (18-way)
Bose Audio
Side Skirts Painted
Instrument Dials in Racing Yellow
Heated Multifunction steering wheel in carbon fiber
Seat belts in Racing Yellow
Porsche crest on headrest
Sport Seat Plus Backrest Shells in Leather
Clear Glass Taillights
Center Console Trim Painted
Ornamental Porsche Crest

MSRP: $145,395.

I'm "guessing" I can fetch around $99k?

Enlighten me...and no I'm not thinking of selling...

vroom seems to be most aggressive in terms of pricing(for large volume cars) these days. Overall carmax/vroom/carvana/shift are not the best places to sell higher end porsches(close to 100k & up). I think they will just wholesale it out so their offer is pretty safe bet for them. So if they are offering 80k then def mid to high 90s could be the retail value

Btw I spent hours today at the dealership trying to work out a deal for an ES but came back empty so did a quick search/trade in appraisal on vroom viola I got the deal done in like 15mins, plus I'm paying 5k le$$ for a similarly equipped car(also 1my/10k miles newer). I was just trying to haggle 3k or so at the dealership & they won't bulge. Thanks for that!

Bob, thanks for sharing. Nice spec, would love to see more photos. I have found KBB.com to be pretty accurate - it’s what dealers use. I would say that your car is worth up to $90K on a trade-in ($80K/Vroom is low), but private sale to $95K (with those low miles) not $99K.

From my experience, Dealers say they use KBB, but they're pulling black book and MMR values from Manheim auctions. There are also pricing software on the market that aggregates auction data professionally and provides wholesale/auction pricing on cars for dealers.

KBB seems to be all over the place. For example, they'll show the value of a 997.2 with 80k miles is only 30k at private sale, but good luck actually finding one below 40k.

Hi Wolf. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle. We all agree that Vroom is low at $80K, but I maintain that it may be difficult for Bob to sell his beautiful, low-mileage 2015 GTS for $100K - more likely in the low-mid $90Ks.

Yes I agree! Trust me, your dealer is not using KBB. They might use that to show justify retail price but they are using Manheim MMR. It is where all wholesale prices are set - through the auctions.
