If you can get allocation for GT3 and its not your DD then I say definitely do it. The GT cars are next level of engineering and performance.

Enjoy your time there, if you think it’s beautiful that’s great, 30 years ago it was even better.
The sheer amount of people and the lack of infrastructure to handle it is (one of the reasons) why I sold my house in SD and moved east. My wife worked in LJ and was an hour to get to work (UCSD) and we lived in North Park. The San Diego I fell in love with is long gone, sadly.

It's going to keep getting better as the U-hauls make their way back from Nevada and Texas.

I'm familiar with that area because I lived there from 80-98 and agree it's a completely different picture. The SF Bay Area is worse though. I've lived here since 98 and commuted mostly within the east bay. It's always bad, even Sunday afternoon is terrible in San Jose and San Francisco. I think the covid work from home push made a huge difference, but it's reversing now. Sadly, the traffic relief was short lived. I'm in the north bay now, 5 miles from work.

My stress therapy consists of taking my car on regular twisty canyon roads. Seriously, that is why I bought my 911 in October, just for recreation.

This will be your greatest car enthusiast benefit of moving to California. Add to your list, no need for a set of winter wheels and tires. 75 degrees today in Napa, ca.

I bought my 2014 targa4s in October 2018 for about the same price if not less than what most are going for nowadays.

Out of curiosity, what did you pay back then and what was the original MSRP, if you don't mind me asking? I'm shopping for a 991.1 Targa 4S now and hoping to get into a well optioned (~$135k) average mileage (~40k) for mid $80s.

Absolutely bonkers... I have 19k miles on a similar spec - I assume I could be asking close to $80k.

All day! Anything with a 1 instead of a 2 of it will attract a whole different level of buyer. I need to see what my spec is running...

Except when the letter "T" is involved

If you think the market is crazy for NA cars now, just wait until they start stuffing batteries in a 911...
