Just because YOU don't like it, doesn't mean your opinion is the general consensus. Same goes with Red. Guards Red is one of the most sought after colors in the Porsche world so i'm sure a TON of people would of wanted your car. Looking at your avatar, i personally think its a beautiful car. So just because YOU skipped over it a few times, doesn't mean you can speak for the rest of us.

Also, regarding my car, yes it has GT3 Bumpers. Not sure why it matters but the bumpers are fully reversible. I can have the stock bumpers back on within an hour or two. So it's a bit different than having something permanent like Yellow paint. Anyway, I'm not worried about the bumpers at all, some people prefer the aggressive bumpers. My last 997 (in my avatar) had GT3 everything on it. It sold FAST. But the mileage wasn't as high. My post above was concern about mileage not mods. Also, ironically, I already have some DM's inquiring about the car just from my post of "thinking" of selling it. So i guess in this market i actually have much more options than to "Just Trade it". But hey, we are both entitled to our own opinions
Or you could trade it/sell it to carmax tomorrow and get a reasonable offer probably more than what it would have sold private party 6 months ago and avoid all the hassle?

I was just going along with what you're saying, but now you appear to be contradicting yourself. The Porsche people are generous after all!

Whatever works best for you, I hope you get $1 for every mile. I notice that I end up arguing with you over just about everything so yeah. Let's just agree to disagree.

That's actually an excellent buy for anyone not looking for garage-queen mileage. Throw that up on the HFS thread!

Default Another data point...

In May 2020, I paid $144K for my 2017 Turbo S with 7K miles and CPO. I have 9k miles now. So last month I stopped by the dealer to buy some accessories and check out what was for sale on the showroom floor (only used cars on the floor). On a whim I asked the dealer to make an offer to buy my car, and they offered $165K immediately. That's a drunk 991 market. I was intrigued by a 2021 992 turbo S on consignment in a paint to sample color - the owner was asking $295K. All the markets are drunk.

The problem is we're still dealing with a finite supply of acceptable late-model 911's and a significantly larger pool of people demanding it. I think SOME of the rise in demand has been generated by how cheap money is right now, but I think there are elements of demand created by the 991 (and the more desirable 997s) entering the "golden hour" of depreciation; they've fallen enough that more people can finally afford one (myself included), and they aren't so old as to be anything but modern. Couple this with the fact that we're all looking at an end of new ICE sports cars in the next 15 years, and I don't think there will be a lack of demand for these cars unless we enter an actual depression. Hell, expensive luxury goods are considered by many to be a safe hedge AGAINST rampant inflation, which is the most likely deleterious near-to-mid tern financial system outcome.

This video touches on some of the near term prospects that I tend to agree with -

The prices WILL level off at some point, and may come down some, but I don't think we will ever return to 2019 prices. Especially while dealers have nothing new to sell and have to overpay in the used/wholesale market.

Bit the bullet and let my 2019 Targa 4 go this morning. Made over $40K on it. No idea what I'll replace it with but have 6 months of winter to shop around!

Smart move! There seems to be no shortage of buyers willing to overpay.

I've been eyeballing 991's on BaT but the premium prices seem crazy to me. I have a '05 Subaru STI with 8k miles on it that I think I could sell for high, but then I'm just buying high to replace it. Either sell it now and wait a year and see if prices come back down out of the stratosphere, if they even do.
