Can someone explain to me how Sport Chrono would be attached to this?
And I realize this is just speculation, but if it is indeed an emissions issue, how do you feel it will be resolved? Could this be a software update?
I don't remember what happened with VW. I know some people got checks, but were the effected cars essentially branded as red-headed stepchildren?
Sorry if these are dumb questions, just trying to understand.

I don't get it. Who cares about emissions on used cars that are at least 4-5 years old? To me, cars should only be recalled for safety issues. I wouldn't want the performance of the car to be altered because of this

991's with sport chrono aren't going to suddenly be worth less than a 997 because Porsche doesn't know how to follow emissions law.

If you don't think it can impact cars value, check the value of Audi and VW diesel vehicles.

Apparently no one at dealer level knows all the facts, or it is in fact a possible emissions scam by Porsche and very few are allowed to discuss the issue.

Pretty sure with PDK in Sport Plus, the car does not shift until redline. More revs for longer period of time will probably increase emissions. Porsche possibly did not take that into account during testing, but it's just speculation.
