He said third party dealers are being allowed to sell. Only Porsche dealers were prohibited.

Correct. Sorry if i was unclear.

I also didn't understand why MY 2012.5-2013 991s were not affected. Maybe he accidentally gave the wrong info.

I think you’re good with the T...no dynamic engine mounts and it appears it’s only for 991.1 not .2s.

I’m sure third party sellers get the stop sale....months from when it was initiated by Porsche through litigation.

I knew there was a good reason I specifically looked for a C2S 991 without Sport Chrono

Very interesting development. I have not received any notification from Porsche about a recall for my 2016 991.1 GTS cab. If they ultimately offered to fix the car for "defects," I would politely decline. That is like Spielberg modifying E.T. several years after the fact, or Lucas adding scenes to the original Star Wars trilogy years later. Not going there. I'll take the car as originally intended, thank you very much.

That may explain why so many used Porsches show up on Jaguar lots.

38 posts on this thread so far with much speculation but nothing specific as to the nature of the problem.

It means there is an open recall that has to be resolved, they cant deliver it until its fixed. Google national recall and put your vin number, tell us what you find

I understand that. Sorry if my comment was unclear. So far, no post has described the specific mechanical problem underlying the stop-sale campaign. I have a 2016 GTS with Sport Chrono and would like to know if there is a problem with the car even though I am not planning to sell it.

My car has no outstanding recalls. However, if this is a Porsche service campaign and not a NHTSA safety recall, it wouldn't show up on a VIN search.

So after putting your VIN in a recall checking tool, does it say you're part of any campaigns...?

No - all safety recalls have been completed on my car, but to add to the pointless speculation of this thread, it could be a Porsche service campaign, which won't show up in a VIN search.
