Positive that won't work. I know that even the 718/981 one's aren't interchangeable.

Got my DSC yesterday and I'm excited to install it. On the DSC website, there are downloads for 2 different calibration files. RS” file 991/981/718 by TC and 991 GT3/RS “TOUR”. Any idea what the difference is between the two? From the names, it sounds like the RS might be a bit stiffer and sportier?

If the controller is secondhand, go by the year as indicated next the file name to match the production year of the controller. i get 100s of inquiries but almost everyone ignores the year indication. Both files commands the maximum output from the dampers when g-force approaches 1.0g. Can’t make it any more aggressive than commanding 100% output.

If your controller is a new unit from DSC or TPC then it already has the newest file in it. There’s no need to update a brand new controller. Plug in and enjoy. 👍

Thanks Tom. I bought it second hand off a Rennlist member. Looks like it had a custom file installed by you guys before it was sent out.

should be the correct file in it but with the Default Rate in Sport mode changed to 30% from the original 20%.

Is there a calibration file for the GT4 RS? Or just use the standard GT4 one? I’m not very savvy playing with the settings myself… Thanks!!

Not sure if this helps but I’ve used the same DSC V3 in my 991.2 C2S, 718 Cayman GT4, and now in my 991.2 Carrera GTS. Confirmed with TPC that the 718 and 991 DSCs are interchangeable.

Just went for a spin with the DSC installed and colour me impressed! The ride is so much smoother, and it handles the twisties better than before too. I took it to some pretty bumpy roads that would shatter my teeth before, and now....nothing. I wasn't expecting that much difference.

I bought a car with a DSC installed. It looks like the one above. It's 2017 Carrera S Cab. The ride is way too bouncy, almost like an old Caddy. It takes too long to get settled again after a fast dip. It does help lots on bad cracked asphalt. I have not been in the mountains with it yet.

Do I have a V2 or V3? Do these two look different? Will they both take the same file type?

Just received my v3 DSC for my '13 C2s, very excited to install and feel the magic.
Should I zero the ride height or just plug and play?
Thanks.

I received mine a couple weeks ago, install took about 3 minutes, once you figure out the connector slides sideways then you can plug/unplug it's super easy. Immediately noticed an improvement in ride. I didn't mess with any settings at all, just plug and play in my 991.1 c2s. It's really impressive.

This is still the single best modification I've done to my car. I recently bought the one for my Raptor, and my only regret is that I didn't buy it a year ago when it came out. What the guys at DSC have done is simply amazing. If you're on the fence about getting one, you should just pull the trigger. You can thank me later...
