from I have read and experienced normal mode is a softer smoother ride than the stock controller when just driving around town or on the highway, I can feel that the bumps and road seams are less noticeable. in sport mode it feels more like the old stock controller. I think that when zipping around pulling forward or lateral g's in aggressive driving both normal and sport mode will instantly adjust to the conditions and will feel the same.

TBH I want to set them up with a bit more distinction between them but I have to borrow a Windows laptop again and I haven't gotten around to it.
I opened up the GT3 file you gave me, and I saw the difference in the Gforec table and shock calibration. I want to do more driving before I change to the new setting.

will post an update soon.

My understanding is that the DSC controllers are not model specific, but "release timeframe" specific. The DSC website is helpful for understanding compatibility between various Porsche models. You will need a different calibfile though.

Can someone confirm that the metal 'pegs' behind the rear seats on my 991.2 911 Carrera S should be removed in order to lift up the carpet to gain access to the controller?

I had it on 991.2 GTS. I didnt remove anything. Just lifting up the carpet with some force. Removing harness firs time takes some effort but after that, just easy installing DSC.

You do not need to remove the metal pegs that the seat latches onto when upright. The carpeted panel that needs to be lifted can be folded/bent slightly to push it up and out of the way. This does not cause any damage unless of course you overdo it. I've now had to lift up that section a couple of times (once for replacing the suspension springs and now for the DSC) and both times the carpet goes right back into place in perfect condition. It does feel odd having to forcibly bend it so much to get it up and out of the way, but it's totally fine after you do it.

Thank you and good to hear! I started to lift the carpet up the other day and was thinking there's no way to clear the pegs without messing up the carpet. Not to thread jack, but I'm actually trying to diagnose a rattling noise that is not caused by the controller itself.

From the DSCsport website, the model number of the DSC controller is 01-9911-00-v3 (for 981 platform), and 01-9912-00-v3 (for 718 platform). as far as the 991 platform is concerned, the model numbers are 01-9911-00-v3 (for 991.1 platform) and 01-9912-00-v3 (for 991.2 platform). It looks like the 981 platform's model number for the controller is the same as the model number for the 991.1 platform, so the hardware looks to be the same. As someone else noted, you'll probably want a different calibration file for it, though, but that's just a matter of downloading the DSCsport software from their website (if you register you can get it), finding an appropriate v3 calibration file for it, and uploading it to the controller once the controller has been installed.

Tom@TPC Racing - recently, my 991.1 started to only intermittently respond to key commands. After a lot of investigation and testing by the dealer and an indy, it turns out that the controller (installed in March, 2022) is causing Canbus faults, in turn sometimes blocking responses to key commands. Any suggestions? Can I send it to you for service? I love the device (which other than the Canbus problem works fine). Please let me know. Thanks.

I had a similar situation, I was doubting if the line was good or not, granted, I didn't start my car often, and I think the computer needs to rethink and reset once in a while. I re-plugged everything, it is working back again.

My DSC controller needs a refresh but I notice that the pins inside the USB port are damaged and need replacement. TPC told me they can't repair the USB port. I wonder if anyone has same issue before and if so how they manage to fix it.

Thanks in advance
